One more time we hit the road to Germany, not for sausage, not for love, but in the name of BurdaStyle. In Offenburg we had the pleasure to visit the very birthplace of all Burda patterns and even the creators themselves (see above, the Burda pattern design team). We started making a film to show for once all complications and intricacies of producing patterns. Hopefully it will be finished soon to show you the incredible amount of effort and time devoted by the team there.

A different kind of adventure was the flight in the Burda helicopter. We took our seats in style (see bottom left, still happy), but a ride 90 minutes long and shakier than a snow dome in an infant’s hands were enough to eliminate any VIP feel about our existence (see bottom right, atmosphere a little strained). True, we made it to Offenburg faster than by ground transportation, but the rattling of the train on the way back never sounded so sweet.

Back in New York we are barely alive but still sewing. We can’t wait to work on the fresh patterns imported for next season and flood you with some fresh inspiration.
Conclusively, do remember to leave them choppers alone (unless your time really is money) and keep your eyes peeled for news on all fronts,

Yours truly,

Benni & Nora
