Set off on your travels this season! But don’t forget to do it in style and comfort. We bring you the latest pattern from burda style magazine’s March 2013 issue that focuses on travel friendly designs with s spicy twist. They’re comfortable, casual, and of course chic!

This Cowl Top is nice and relaxed. The lurex shine and cowl neck give it a touch of class. These sporty Traveler Trousers are really something special, thanks to their unusual details. They are wide at the top and narrower towards the ankle, with short zippers in the lower side seams. In addition to the hip pockets, they have traveler pockets on the upper legs.

A blazer can be as wonderfully uncomplicated as this "Blazer Jacket ":http://www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/blazer-jacket-032013. It has just a hint of a lapel, and is made of practical linen blend with fringed edges.

Feel good in this curry-colored linen Shirt Blouse with tabs on the sleeves and hem. We love it worn with these Shorts. These canvas shorts with the contour waistband and hip yoke pockets are the ideal match to your favorite top. Easy to fit into any travel bag!

This gem is well worth discovering. The mustard-colored canvas Cape is both practical and feminine with its raglan seams, drawstring at the raised waist, and casual metal zipper. This Maxi-Skirt, made of linen, looks even better with the cape than jeans do. It’s bell-shaped cut allows for daring steps.

Wherever you are – in this Long Shirt dress with a belt at the waist and long side slits you will cut a good figure! These narrow Trousers with wide turn-ups are the perfect accompaniment to a top. The sewn-on flap pockets are a practical feature, handy for storing little keepsakes.

Butterflies in your stomach? No wonder, in this Cardigan made of cinnamon-colored, shiny lurex jersey with a low-cut neckline and gathers at the front. This Ruffled Skirt looks so sweet and casual. Though very easy to make, there is nothing ordinary about it, with its self-made fringed ruffles on the hem.

Happy Sewing!

The only guy patterns out there are crap. Like you, I would LOOOOOOVE to see some good patterns for male clothing, and ones that might actually fit someone over the age of 16 who weighs more than 100 pounds. Maybe I should just draft some myself. I know how but never had occasion to do it. Maybe now’s the time! Ideas?

is there anything more impractical for travelling than a long shirt dress?

for our holiday in a carriage when we have got our ironing employees around? ;))

Hate it, the collection looks sloppy. These pieces could be pajamas and nightgowns.
