For months we've been promising the How To Grade a Pattern tutorial, and finally we can say we've got it! It's a difficult task to write this How To, since generally, grading is taught in fashion schools as its own class for an entire semester! So, I've decided to split it up. We're going to start with a How To showing how to grade a basic blouse block. We'll continue with grading skirts, pants, and sleeves as the weeks go on. So, for those of you who were waiting for this, take a peek and lets so how it works! And for some of you who aren't quite ready for this, familiarize yourself with it anyway. You'd be surprised at how easy it can be once you get started!

    playing with pajamas

Wish I'd had this a couple months ago when I was trying to resize a pattern for a peacoat... oh well. I'm definitely going to have to give this one a try for some of my other projects though!

    making the ruby shorts!!

Thank you so much for this!! I was taught years ago by a seamstress how to do basic grading, which has come in handy, but this is a little more in-depth. And I needed to brush up on the principles of grading anyway!! :)
