Glossy fabrics and breezy silhouettes make up this urban collection. Look for a pleated skirt, silver shirt dress, and glam rock blazer. These metallic patterns are from the November 2013 issue of Burda Style magazine.

Gold lamé makes this classy skirt shine— literally! A straight silhouette with flattering pleats is nice and professional. This skirt hits just above the knee, so you can wear it anywhere.

Stunning fabric with a quilted appearance is the star of this short little Shirt Dress. A short, simple shift goes luxuriously modern in silver.

A cape-like jacket makes a whimsical layer to top off skinny jeans and a tank. This design has a swingy trapeze shape that flares out with wide sleeves.

Run errands or enjoy lunch on the patio in this breezy Tie Blouse. The crossover neckline is relaxed and looks so pretty in drapey washed silk. An easy tie cinches the waist.

Get a high fashion look in these unique Wrap Pants in metallic twill. They have a wrap effect at the waist that gives slim girls an hourglass look and make these so comfortable to wear. Pair these slim trousers with a high heel to lengthen the leg.

Bare those shoulders in this fun top that you can dress up or down with an optional wrapped collar. Without the wrap, it’s a simple V neck with princess seams.

Get a glam rock look in this long blazer in eye-catching lurex. A contrast satin collar makes the metallic fabric pop. The single button style has a masculine charm that’s fun to wear with a bustier and skinny jeans.

Stand out in this pretty metallic blouse. A modest blousy cut lets a fun fabric do the talking. This top has a cute keyhole at the back neck and banded sleeves.

A fun geometric print livens up these slim fitting Cuffed Pencil Trousers. These pants have a zip fly, waistband, and pockets for a tailored fit. Rolled cuffs finish off the slim silhouette.

This is the perfect collection to experiment with a fabric you haven’t tried before, so let a little shine into your closet with these bright designs. a touch of lamé might be just the thing to perk up a fall afternoon!

Really NOT a fan of the Harem Pants. They are just bl**dy awful. As a slim lass I wouldn’t be seen in them inside my house let alone outside. The whole ‘Giving an hourglass Figure’ erm, no. Kind looks more like you’re wearing Maternity Pants and tried to wrap the extra fabric around the front. I do despair of some designs. Trying to be so ‘out there and Different’ but failing and looking like somebody couldn’t make up their mind and just pinned a sagging bit of fabric down the front. Oddly the Shirt Dress has a very Retro Feel to it and I could see the ‘Manchester’ Crowd with this in. Don’t think it’s for me. My daughter might love tho.

That gold lamé skirt is something I will have to make this fall, that fabric will be a conversation starter every time!

I think this is my most favorite line feature. My inspirations come from the European vintage wool and silks in my fabric collection. Simple lines. I love the harem pants!

Love the wrap pants and pleated skirt. The gather neck blouse is very pretty as well. And the slim cut pants are a nice basic. <3

I really like this collection and I especially love the cape/jacket thingy! But the busy fabrics are just an awful choice for these patterns. Either put focus on pattern details or on the fabric. Not both!

While the shiny fabric is not my favorite, I think there are some solid patterns in this collection (I like the skirt and the tie blouse best). I browsed the November issue of BurdaStyle on BurdaStyle.ru, and there is another collection coming up that reuses a few of these patterns (in more subdued fabric) to much better effect. Those pants are pretty suspicious in a shiny fabric, but in a matte black they look like they might be pretty cool: http://www.burdastyle.ru/model/2013-burda-11-120-a.

Not a big fan of harem pants, but I know they are coming back. Prefer the updated version. Love the skirt with the pleats….

J…Wept! What is it with the harem type pants- awful!!! To be fair some of other designs could be ok with a suitable fabric choice-( but not many of them)!
