I just got the February Burdastyle Magazine in the mail & FYI for anyone who is interested – it has some nice, simple plus-size wedding dress patterns. From my experience, the smallest burdastyle plus size is about equal to a US retail size 12.

I’m loving all the purple; it’s my favorite color! The entire last photo is amazing, the little black dress and the shoes. I’m in heaven!

I love these patterns and this is the first time where I have seen Burda do nicely drafted patterns for plus size individuals. Normally the dresses look kind of like a potato sack with no shape to them. These are all so beautiful and in gorgeous color and fabric! I am very pleased!

I was just thinking what a beautiful woman the model is – I actually can’t believe she is considered ‘plus’!!!

Plus? You’ve gotta be kidding!

The dress is beautiful – but hardly a plus size. What’s up with not showing plus size models? Is the pattern available in sizing for non-plus size?

Unfortunately that counts as ‘Plus Size’ as the industry dictates. Regardless of national average size. The average size of a fashion model is around a UK6, so a UK 14/16 is classed as ‘plus’.
I do like the black dress though!
