We have great news! For one, as some of you may know, we are working on a new site design, and that is only some months away (3-4 months to be exact). Better news is that we have a little preview in form of a new feature: slide shows!
Amongst those photo albums you will find featured members and their sewing rooms and a little peak at the remaining patterns in Collection 8. Check out all the albums and come back for new albums every week!

ooooooo This looks really cool guys! I really love the wrap around skirt and that versitile dress!! I can’t wait!! i’ve wanted to make something similar to these but when these patterns come out…I will have to try them!! ( oh yeah and the biker jacket… wonderful!!!.
So is the whole site going to be in this dark grey?? If so maybe it might look a bit too dark?? I like the bright airyness of the current site, but maybe it could just be in certain areas??. Also thefeatured members and their sewing rooms link didn’t work when i clicked on it – just a load of HTML code came up!

Tell you what I was never so glad I’d just cleaned my sewing room than when Alden asked me for my pics :o) I guarantee you, my sewing room no longer looks like that…
I must say I do agree with Bola about it being maybe a little dark. I find I tend to like when displayed against white- like on flickr and on the existing BurdaStyle. But I’m just so incredibly excited about the new features!!!! Good work girls, and thankyou!!!!!

ooh ive been waiting so long! and like emilykate, my sewing room is SO not as clean as the pictures i gave you. unfortunately, i can’t see any of the pictures! hopefully you guys will fix this bug soon as i am very excited to see the places where my fellow burdastyle members do their work!

I LOVE the slideshows! Fantastic feature! And they work so fast even on my slow work computer!!!!!!! So happy about that- if the whole site is this way, I will be a very happy sewer :)
I can’t wait for the knit dress (woohoo!) and the skirt (love the pleats! I’ve been wanting to do something with pleats). Great new creations!
I also agree that it’s a bit too dark. I think (for me) it would look better if you used a lighter gray instead of the black overall background- I think it would look awesome that way. I do like the dark gray panes though, just not on top of black. But that’s just my opinion! Can’t tell about the navigation from just the slideshow gallery yet :)

Very cool! I love the photo galleries and the links to the patterns. It would be cool to have a thumbnail page so that you could go right to the picture you want to see. And I agree that it’s a bit dark. Great job, overall! I’m looking forward to the new site!

That a reaaaaally cool feature! I can’t wait to see the upcoming patterns! I agree with most of the people that the background should be of a lighter color. Also, I don’t know but they don’t really show as slideshow to me. I mean, I have to click to see the next picture. Is it because it’s only a preview?

I was also wondering if it was too late to send in pics of my sewing space— the reason I delayed was because it’s been a disaster zone and I haven’t had time to clean it up! Anyway, this is a fun new feature. And I like the look of that wrap skirt— my mind is already trying to come up with variations!
