This trumpet gown is classic and sexy. A sweetheart neckline with a body-hugging design that flares at the hem and follows the silhouette to the knee. The wide straps make it possible to wear a brassiere, as well.

Step into your own fairy tale dress! The spaghetti straps are tied into a bow at the shoulders and romantic touches abound for this hippie-influenced style that features tiny ruffles along the neckline and a wide ruffle at the hem. The full skirt could work in the case of a baby bump, as well.

So delicate that it captures every breezy step beautifully. Two lengths of fabric are sewn in along the straps to cascade behind for a look that is playful and floats more dreamily than a standard sweep train. The gathered band at the waist draws in the expansive skirt. The overall gown leans toward greek goddess!

Attention fairy tale princesses: This style has everything a dream wedding dress requires. The bodice is sewn with a petal white satin that gets overlaid by a french lace that is also used for the long sleeves. As a beautiful drop to complement the bodice, the wide skirt falls from deep pleats. Rather than a pair of cool sneakers as shown here, classic pumps look great, too.

If you are looking for something that isn’t an overly dramatic wedding dress, though also not totally conservative, this wrap maxi skirt is the one. It pairs especially well with luxurious tops or pullovers. The shorter cut in front gives the skirt with the wide waistband and extravagent mini pleats not only a feathery touch, it also lets the shoes peek out. And flats are allowed…!

For a plus size beach wedding I can recommend this one. I made it up in a purple crepe de chine (still to be hemmed) and thought that in white or off white silk it would be lovely for a beach wedding:

Would it be possible to make a wedding dress pattern collection in tall pattern sizes at some point? I really like the designs, but they are rather hard to tweak to a woman who´s 6.1 foot and rather skinny…
