After countless nights of creating and wearing deconstructed clothing for the early 90s club scene, designers Annika Sanders and Kerry Seager decided to bring their unique, free-form sense of style to the masses, creating a clothing company aptly named Junky Styling.
Junky Styling evokes both designers’ DIY aesthetic, and offers their customers an innovative approach to their shopping experience through one-of-a-kind garments. All of their clothing is constructed from recycled or environmentally conscious material, and made in-studio or sourced locally.
They also offer a unique take on the clothing (de)construction process through customer participation. Through their ‘Wardrobe Surgery’ initiative, people can drop off their ill-fitting garments at the Junky Styling studio for complete re-altering renovation!
The Junky Styling concept is great inspiration for the eco-chic fashionista (or fashionisto)! Check out the cool video above from the Junky Styling team describing how to transform two old turtleneck sweaters into one cool dress!
