This dress is a perfect fusion of design and functionality with elasticated waistband, side seam pockets, and a front neckline slit. The dress also features a really intricate armhole finishing detail that utilized two bias bands, and it looks fabulous!

She’ll start with the paper pattern (sometimes the most confusing part!) and indicate how to extract certain pattern pieces and draft new ones from the instructions. In the sewing portion, you’ll see how to effectively finish the front slit edge beautifully as well as create that waist casing for the elastic. Lastly, she’ll demonstrate how to sew those double armhole bands that give this dress that special something.
