I would wait with anticipation each month for the next colours to arrive, when they did my four children and I would go into a colour filled creative frenzy. Even their homework would have a new lease of life each month.

Gee I would draw up a storm!!! Imagine all the fantastic fashions that I could come up with. The colour range would go on and on, for all the great seasons and styles. Hang on a minute I think that I had better learn to draw a few good designs first., anythiing at all. So I suppose that this is everything that i would need to get into it. wouldnt you think so.

With 500 pencils my Girls’ Artisan Camp participants will create a textile that they will use as the pocket of a book bag that they learn to sew themselves…so few moms have a sewing machine these days, nor time to sew or teach their kids to sew if they do (somewhere in the attic or buried in the garage!). I teach week-long camps every summer where girls learn to create and sew.

To use, to own, and to enjoy this amount of colours would be amazing… I would draw all the sights, the people and the emotions of the world…and when they have all been sharpened down to little points, I would put them all together; wound with string and glue and make them into a beautiful sculpture, of the best picture I had drawn with them… :) It would be a dream, come true… xoxox

500 shades? Wowee. I wouldn’t know where to start… so I would ask my nieces and nephews to sit down with me around a giant pad of paper, and draw anything they can think of.

I would stay up at night drawing.

I would give in to my impulse to try creating some new artwork for our living room walls.

    Oh, wow.

If I won the pencils, I would engage my daughter who is a beautiful artist, to make projects for needy children. I would sew the dolls, she would paint the faces and body clothing , and we would give them away to different charaties. We have several different charaties here in our town that would benefit from them . Here’s praying I win. Rosetta

What COULD I create from those beautiful pencils . . . I think anything that my imagination could conceive. What would I create? I would capture my design ideas so beautifully, I’ll likely frame some of the results.

After I quit drooling, you mean? ‘Cause, wow, 500 colors! That’s WAY cooler than the giant crayola crayon box with built in sharpener that made me giddy as a little girl. I think I’d first line them up over and over again just to see how pretty they looked together, and then I’d set about drawing anything and everything with child-like abandon.
