I took a sewing class in High School but I have been sewing long before that so it didn’t teach me too much concerning new skills. I have considered becoming a sewing teacher though – I just have to figure out if I have the time I need to put into that.

I have never taken any sewing classes, I learn on my own (thank you Burda :) ). But if I could, I would attend sewing classes in NYC because of my LOVE for sewing, NYC and Bernina :).

I have taken two sewing classes in the past year, sewing 1 and 2. They taught me the basics of sewing, fabrics, the machine, etc. I learned to make a mini skirt and a tunic. Recently, I started taking a class on Craftsy by Diana Rupp. Our projects are from her book, Sew Everything Workshop, which I have and love, and we are making an envelope pillow and a pencil skirt. This method works really well for me because I learn by watching. Even though I’m still a relatively new sewer—I just started this past March and I have only completed a handful of projects—I want to learn as much as I can about my new obsession!

I’d love to take a class on garment making/pattern making. However, my kids are too young for me to go do this right now. But the internet is a huge resource. Perhaps an online class is in my future?

I started quilting in the last 4 years and try to take classes whenever I can. There are so many techniques out there and different ways to do things you’ll always learn something new. Love my Bernina!!

I want to take a sewing class but right now my schedule is too crazy. There is a sewing instructor in my town but her classes for adults are during business hours.

I studied fashion full time for 2 years in the eighties and haven’t really felt the need to take classes since. I graduated with the skills to design, pattern-make/grade and assemble garments ranging from casual to formal, lingerie and swimwear, women’s, children’s and mens wear. All with the help of my trusty Bernina Record 930, which is still going strong!

I took a class in August to learn how to use my new Bernina Quilters Edition sewing machine. So much to learn! My last new machine was in 1984. I sew a lot and now that I’m supposed to be retired, I expect to sew a lot more! My shape has changed from a relatively simple adjustment to size 12 petite, to more complex issues of arm hole depth and sleeve width, and patterns no longer seem sized the same. Will need a class in the new year to re-measure myself and make pattern adjustments – or restyle my wardrobe design from classic fit! Thanks for this opportunity to receive some Bernina items!

As I travel the gift basket would be phenomenal. The last class took was a machien quilting class. I would love to find a class that would help me to customize (fit) some classic patterns so I could make my own wardrobe again.

Yes! I took Gertie’s Bombshell Dress Course on Craftsy. Such a great platform to learn on. It still doesn’t make up for in class, one-on-one instructions, but it does a great job. It has forums for each lesson where people taking the class can ask questions or post photos their progress and the instructor and students can chime in. As a beginner, I’m always looking to learn more.

I haven’t taken a class lately, but I definitely. I’m currently taking a knitting class now, and have been unpacking because I moved between states. Been busy, but a class would be perfect inspiration to get back my mojo.

I haven’t taken any classes, but I would love to. The only thing stopping me is not enough time! Between working full time and having a toddler, my free time is limited, especially during the times classes would be available.

Private tutoring works best for me at the moment. I start alone then if I face a problem or something what I’ve never done before, I just grab my “troubled item”, take it to my tutor and she shows me the how-to specificly to that project.

I did take a craftsy online class recently on vintage dresses, but usually I prefer to read up and then try a new technique or sometimes I see something I like and just go for it and try to duplicate it.
