I love being able to create something so tangible and (hopefully) beautiful out of simple fabric and thread. The entire process is thrilling, especially that step when it all starts coming together and making sense.

Lately my inspiration has been coming from sewing and quilting blogs, but also the huge stash of vintage patterns I just received from my grandmother and aunt!

I just love losing track of time while I’m totally immersed in making something. The feel of the fabric running through my fingers. Even the little frustrations. I’m an addict!

The hand and pattern of a fabric calls out what can be done with it. The desire to have something that has my own “stamp” yet may be used for something as mundane as a purse organizer or as fanciful as a “celebration” outfit. The quiet joy of making something to give to another, whether friend, family, or anonymously. The restless urge to create – all these things inspire me every day,

My inspiration started when I was tired of going shopping trying to find something I really love and looked good on me, and instead had walk away from the mall depressed, until one day I say how hard can it be (was I wrong? lol) and find out an awesome new world that I didn´t even knew and I’m loving it and getting really passionate about

Fabrics! Patterns inspire me as well, and fashion I see in magazines, but when I see fabrics I can’t help but imagine them in all sorts of different ways. The hard part is coming up with the technical skill to get my mind’s vision into a reality!

Being able to construct something yourself that fits your body perfectly. It is very rewarding when people compliment you on your garment and you get to say that you made it. I love the look of surprise. Trying to master new patterns keeps me going.
