My daughter and I would share the thread to make rag dolls and embroider which is something that she has wanted to do for a the past year now! We could make purses and so many other things that could illustrate the beautiful color of the threads we use. Definitely get ready for Valentines Day projects to make as well, then there is St. Patrick’s Day, then Easter,…etc. the holidays just all start pouring out again! WHAT CAN WE NOT DO WITH THEM?!?

Well, since I design dresses, I thought that I would use it for that, but seriously, that’s one boring answer, huh? So then.. I thought it’d be cool to use it for side projects like binding handmade books or make these purses with LED lights.. but I don’t know when I’ll get to that since I’m doing a lot right now. So… I decided, well, if I actually did receive this prize, and I have to pay taxes on it as it says in the “rules”, then I guess it won’t feel like so much of a prize. I’ll be paying for some of it. However, the beauty of this is that I personally would love to donate this to someone in need. I came across an article in the NYTimes, where Nicholas Kristoff did an article on Jane from Nairobi – “Sewing Her Way Out Of Poverty”. I was so inspired, I donated fabric, a friend donated her wedding gown, and if they are still accepting, that’s what I would do. Donate this thread. Otherwise, I think Talisman Studios has a really good marketing concept with the rock climbing gear and Patricia Peters has a catchy rhyme going one. Kimmchi makes cool shirts. I know I’m not the judge, but thought I’d share. Thanks.

I use Gutermann threads for the rock climbing chalkbags I made for my small company – ClimbAddict Designs, and do so because I know they will hold up to the use the bags get in use at the cliffs.
