I currently have two purses and a casserole carrier cut out ready to sew for next weekend (birthday party!). I have material for new jammies for ME!, a pattern and fabric for a jacket for ME!, a froggie pillow for my son, a matching father/son pair of pants for my husband and son, a shirt for a set of shorts I made my son last summer (they were HUGE on him – lol). a flannel shirt for son, a long sleeved shirt for my hubby . . . . I could continue, but my guess is I’ll have plenty more projects to add to the list by the time mid-year shows up! Oh – and Christmas presents for next year: jammies for the adults and quillows for the kids! :) (BTW – checked out the book in a Kindle sample the other day :) – if you haven’t, you should!!)

Lots and Lots of collars, a suit/work dress made from this vintage pattern I found and beautiful wool fabric, a skirt from this pattern I found from the 1960s, and combine that with the skirt top I found from this 1970s pattern. And cover a pair of shoes with fabric I got when I was studying abroad.

I plan to sew more garments that will work with my wardrobe. I also hope to be better at planning and making gifts instead of purchasing unmeaningful ones.

I just took a quiz that says the Boho style suits me well, as long as I don’t go for the total gypsy look. I will be adding a few loose tops, vests, tribal prints, and hobo bags.

I have so many WIPs, I actually have a box labeled “WIPs and leather,” (because I used to keep my leather in the same tote). I didn’t notice the hilarity of the label until much later…
I want to finish a short jacket I started using a Vogue pattern, a tropical sheath dress that needs some fitting and a hem, and maybe, just maybe, make my pineapple bombshell dress I bought the fabric and pattern for, oh, three years ago :P
It’s the year of the WIPs and the planned-or-started-long-agos for me!

Some ones that I started up this year, and hope to have finished soon next year:
A custom sized mannequin based on a self drafted sloper pattern (I’ve got the pattern drafted and it fits pretty good, too! Just need to figure out/execute the DIY stuffing and base).
A corset (I have patterns for two by my sewing table, one I will be hopefully doing as a “sew-along”)
A quilt-as-you-go quilt (the center is entirely finished and about 75% quilted, the borders are probably a little over half done).
That’s the main things on my list for now.
