The dining area of my kitchen has been my dedicated sewing area for nearly thirteen years. In all that time, I don’t think my family has actually eaten there once.

I have recently moved into my dedicated sewing room, I have acquired a fabulous antique mahogany desk with plenty of room on the top for projects and all my bits and pieces. I live to take myself off in there for project making and tinkering.. My sewing room is on the top floor of my Victorian terrace so I can view all the rooftops of the town and be free to dream up new projects

My only space to sew is in the living room. I can hang with my boyfriend or listen to television while sewing.

I’m an apartment dweller—so I sew wherever I find the space! Lately my sewing machine is on a small rolling cart which I usually put in the livingroom. The floor is my cutting table and I set up a ‘pressing station’ on the inside of a closet door. It works, but I have to clean up all the time rather than leaving my projects out.

Unfortunately not. Have to get it all in and out in the living room whenever I want to be creative and sit at our dining room table :(

I sew in my dining room on the dining room table. I wish I had a craft room, but the dining room works just fine and is big enough for all my stuff.

I sew on my old kitchen table which is now set up in a corner of my living room. It’s hard to work there and keep it neat and clean. I wish I had an extra room for my craft room!

No dedicated space, just a couple desks here and there. I’m very grateful for light-weight, portable machines!

I do have a sewing room, a small office with two closets. My machine is set up on a machine cabinet built by my husband many years ago soon after we were married.

I’m in the process of moving, but once I get settled in, I will have my own dedicated sewing room! Right now I’m sewing wherever I can find a flat surface to put a machine on.

I have a very small room next to my bedroom, it contains everything I need for sewing! Except room… Which is why I have to go downstairs in the dining room when I cut the fabric.

I sew at a table that I set up in the living room. Not glamorous but it works! It does make it easy to watch a sewing video or to check pattern reviews/modifications on my computer as I’m sewing.

I have a corner in my bedroom setup with a small table to hold the sewing machine and a lamp. All my pattern and fabric cutting work is done on the floor in the bedroom.

North-facing room, hardwood floor, dedicated sewing room — my Creative Play Center; however, I also sew in the kitchen, particularly when it’s by hand or ghastly unsewing (aka seam ripping).

I have a corner in our bedroom, it’s very messy, boxes, piles, clutter. My husband is an angel… sort of, his piles of books have scary dimensions too.

Unfortunately my wife and I live in too smaller place to have a dedicated sewing room, so we (I’m a guy, so me not as often as her) use the kitchen table.

P.S Very cool idea to digitize the magazines. Makes it great for searching, and reduces all that paper usage!
