I mostly sew for me. I sew a little for my sister and mom (who both sew). Maybe I should think about sewing for my husband!

I sew for my friends. (mainly my BFF, who always can pull off the most outrageous outfits). Only just recently have I started to sew for myself. Took up Belly Dancing, have recently stated to make costumes. Rhinstones would surely come in handy for that…

I always intend to make somthing for myself, but rarely do, most of what I make goes to people around me, like my family and friends. My latest project was a christmas dress for my nice, from a pattern I found here on Burdastyle. I knit, felt, crochet and more. Making somthing with my hands gives me such a good feeling, it’s so calming.

I sometimes sew for family and friends, and rarely for myself. Most often I so for my dolls and for my on-line doll club members. It’s “sew” much fun! I alter the patterns I get here to fit the dolls. For example, I recently made a diaper bag for one of the “Mommy dolls” by finding a free bag pattern here and then adjusting the scale. It worked perfectly! I loved the idea and the clear instructions.

Well, I mostly head the advice of Elaine of Selfish Seamstress blog (and Coffee Date dress creator!) and sew only for myself. The happy few I do sew for are my mother and my nephew. Beyond that, I’ve sewn once and a while for friends or coworkers but that’s so rare, it’s like it doesn’t even exist, LOL!

I started sewing for myself (to save money and to have well-fitted clothes), but over the last few months I have started sewing gifts for others. I’m hoping over the next few years to sew for customers!
