I can never ever find leather! or elastic blend fabrics:( a lot of ideas I get require elastic blend cotton or polyester and I can never find it!!! and there are so many cute inserts or dresses and bags that I could make with leather, but they don"t sell it any where except online with a very high shipping price!

Twill tape in the UK. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s an American product and we have to use ordinary cotton tape. Also, seam binding. All I can find is bias binding.

Nice snaps for mens shirts, and jackets…even the plain snaps seem to be available in only black and white in the stores.

I live real close to Louisville KY and have access if possible to JoAnn, Hancock, WalMart, Hobby Lobby, many small dealers, and everything else online and ebay. I am in need of pinking shears now. I don’t get around very well now since being diagnosed with brain cancer. I don’t have alot of energy and can’t drive now. I wore myself out at Christmastime with projects. Shears are very dull. I heard they can’t be sharpened. Is that true, anyone?

I can’t find horsehair braid or tailors hams anywhere! Mind you we only have one fabric/craft supplies store in town, so that is probably why.

Perhaps my needs are simple (eg. I don’t know yet what to do with hair canvas, but will find out) but I can usually find what I need at a local shop or online.

Everything. There’s a small JoAnn’s store about 15 miles from me but they don’t the space to stock a good supply or assortment of just about anything. There’s a Wal*Mart closer but about a year ago they took out their fabric dept and now sell only a small grouping of pre-cuts.

You know, I feel like I only find out what I need at the last minute and then forget what it was that I couldn’t find after I finish a project. Until I started going to the locally owned small fabric shop in my area, I was having a very hard time finding cotton batiste or other more specific types of cotton in the bigger chain stores.
