Most needed discount is: TOOLS!! Machines, Irons, Tables… they are all priced over my head. Starting a new business, discounts on these items- MUCH NEEDED ITEMS, helps my business out emensely. Especially after my work horses are losing steam! YIKES!

Being a self-taught sewer, and a novice/intermediate sewer, I’d have to say, a great price/ discount on an iron is so needed!! Even the smallest projects that are made of “not-so-high-quality” fabrics can look professional with a great Ironing. I didn’t know that before when I was a complete novice but I definitely see the importance of it now. Especially because I have an Autoimmune disease- effecting my joints and muscles, I’d say a great Pressure iron/ Steamer that offers “effortless ironing and easy gliding”, and most importantly, “less STRAIN to iron out wrinkles”- like the Rowenta Pressure Iron and Steamer, would be a life saver(and would make me less likely to put off my projects)! I wish there were some discounts offered on high quality Irons/steamers. They always offer promotional coupons on fabrics and notions, but never on high-quality Irons/ steamers. Second to that, discount on pattern making classes would be great!

I just love a 50-75% discount on just about anything that I normally buy. And sometimes on that little something that would just be nice to have/try-out….

Fabric, absolutely! The best store in my town is now closed, but still it was pricey.

Quality fabric at discounted or more reasonable prices. There is nothing worse than making a garment or any titem for that matter and have it fall apart after one washing.
Dec 22, 2010, 06.39 AMby SoftMyst
My favorite discount would be 50% on almost anything. the cost of sewing has gotten quite expensive and the economic times have made it harder to stretch the little money I have these days. Obviously a discount on anything I needed at the time would be the best. :)

fabric. can never get enough nice materials

Definitely discounts on sewing supplies, most notably fabrics, as they are prohibitively expensive to buy online due to high shipping costs.

Some descent looking fabric! Haha I have a fabric store here but it holds a lot of cotton for quilting and home decor fabric. I would really love some fashion fabric and also some for my school’s fashion show which I’m making clothes for. I don’t know if they’ll even have what I’m looking for and everywhere else is too pricey!

I borrow all my sewing supplies (machines, irons, etc) I need my very own.

My favorite discount has to be dollar patterns – I love collecting them and mixing and matching. My most needed discount? A steamer! It would really help me give a professional look to my projects.

would love discounts on patterns and shipping of patterns from the us! I live in south africa and have seen some great patterns on colette but can’t afford $28 dollars for 1 pattern.
