I use my rotary cutter every time I sew – I LOVE it. Probably twice a week.

I’d like to use mine lone rotary cutter 1-3 times a week but right now it is only once a month. I’m really like the idea of a circle cutter. It looks like it could be used in lots of interesting ways.

10+. I’m a costumer for the Nutcracker Ballet and I wore out 2 blades this year cutting costumes. I sew for my kids and quilt the rest of the year. I use the rotary cutter for both clothing and quilts.

When I’m working on a quilt, I use mine at least 10 times a week. I would use the rotary for more of my projects if I had a larger cutting mat.

I try to sew at least once a week, more if I can. My rotary cutter and my mat are my go to tools and they’ve definitely seen some abuse.
Dec 21, 2011, 04.46 AMby crackerhouse
Totally depends on the week. I can go weeks not touching it, then end up using it several times a day for days. I love mine!

Rotary cutters are great for arthritic hands. I use mine when cutting fabric but also little trimming jobs.
Dec 21, 2011, 04.16 AMby cprevost
I have a rotary cutter from Olfa, and I love to use it, but due to a nasty divorce, it spent some months in a cardboard box and came back too rusty to use! I miss it terribly. I haven’t done much sewing in the last few months because I feel so lost without it!
Dec 21, 2011, 04.15 AMby ssproles
I’ve only recently learned to use the rotary cutter. Until I master the detailed cuts, I would say I use it 1-3 times per week.
Dec 21, 2011, 04.14 AMby nancywin
I prefer to cut all patterns with rotary. Now that I’ve had to change sewing rooms, I don’t have my mat out, so only about once or twice a week.
Dec 21, 2011, 04.10 AMby sunquistadora
About once a week. It works well for when I’m making corsets.
Dec 21, 2011, 04.07 AMby wordygirl
I’d say 4-6 times. Some days I sew without using the rotary cutter, other days I cut but don’t make it to the machine.

My olfa rotary cutter has revolutionized my cutting and sewing!

Zero times right now as I don’t own one and up to now had no real idea of what it is good for (I don’t quilt). But I like the suggestion of tsedai about getting a cleaner edge on skirts of skating costumes etc. with the rotary cutter as I aspire to making beautiful costumes.
