Favorite fabric? Well, that’s a no brainer – I love me some knits, and I’m also a lover of wool.

I enjoy working with woven cotton fabrics, especially when I can find cotton fabric thicker than the average quilting cotton fabric. Wool is also a lot of fun to sew with, it is so versatile!

I love wool for most things, but cotton rules for quilts!!

Soft cottons have always been so forgiving. But with the leather setting on my machine, denim is becoming my new favorite fabric

I’d have to say woven cotton cause it doesnt shift about and is easy to sew in terms of thickness.

Wool – I love the way it transforms from a homemade look to handmade with a good steam iron!

What a dreamy giveaway! My gut is telling me to answer “cotton”. It comes in so many weights, it is crisp and can be soft or shiny, sheer or firm, sturdy, printed, striped… It’s a very sewing-friendly fabric and great for a variety of casual projects.

mmmmhhhh, I’m afraid I don’t have a favourite fabric, it depends on each project.

Cotton lawn – especially Liberty Tana – and rayon jersey for simple but gorgeous everyday dresses. But I collect silk of all kinds – lately silk ikats from Uzbekistan. They make stunning skirts.

Rather dull but I like plain weave cottons. Also, anything that doesn’t fray.
