Welcome to day two of our Holiday Giveaway! Win a thread organizer box from Mettler! Comment on this blog article by 9AM (EST) Friday, December 3rd to be entered to win!

Why you never again lose the thread with the Mettler Organizer Box.

– Minimal space requirement – great capacity. Up to 104 Mettler thread spools may be stored and are clearly visible in the 36 × 37 × 5 cm small plastic box. And they are protected from dirt, dust and humidity.

– Ready to hand in seconds. Thanks to the optimal safekeeping system – each spool is placed on a special holding device – you get a good grip on the desired thread in no time. The remaining colors are guaranteed to stay on the spot.

– Handy to use. The Mettler Organizer Box finds its place anywhere. For example free standing, partially opened on the table or fully opened, hung on the wall.

– Use it at home or on the road. The filled weight of only 1,9 kg allows a comfortable transport. With the Mettler Organizer Box your thread spools are always secure and under control.

1x organizer box offering space for 104 spools of Mettler Metrosene (art 1161, 150m all purpose thread).

Running…come to think of it, it would be cool to see sports or outdoor sewing tutorials….like sewing a tent or something like that. I would be totally down for producing my own sportsbras, sleeping bags, spandex shorts, etc.

Other than sewing I love making things out of recycled items. I am what my kids call the goofy crafter, making things like a complete Band with band members, stage and instruments out of twigs, acorns and things I found in my yard. Even took hair from hairbrushes to make wigs for the band. I make the one of a kind sort of craft things. From Minature furniture to biurdhouses to sewing . I just tried my hand at baby clothes for a friends grandson. My first hoodie ever and it is adorable. Since becoming disabled I make use of my time in front of a sewing machine learning to follow directions and trying my hand at designing my own style. Need more tutorials lol

Everything around the beauty things in life and that stimulates my senses – the look and touch of fabrics and yarns (sewing and knitting), colours and shapes (painting and photographing), tastes and smells (cooking and baking). And I always enjoy it when things touch my senses in many different ways – for example when I bake a cherry cake and see the dark red, nearly black and shiny surface and perfect round shape of a cherry, feel the smooth touch while working the yeast dough by hand, smell the mix of butter, yeast and melting sugar while baking and – of course the best of all – taste the whole result :-) These moments definetly belong to the best in life! :-)

Other than sewing? Too many and then try and split my spare time between them all = a not very tidy house most of the time because it is cluttered with all the “ongoing” (unfinished) projects. So, other hobbies are (but not limited to): Knitting, crocheting, sketching, painting, multi-media art, scrapbooking, learning to take better photo’s (am horrendous), decorating the house for seasonal celebrations, reading, watching movies (LOVE movies), op shop shopping, etc…

I’m a Montessori trained mama, so I enjoy observing my child’s behavior and thinking about what new activities I can present to her to build her skills and independence. We’re avid dog-walkers and hikers. And most of all, spending time as a family.

I bake – like a fiend! Even more than I sew. This Christmas, my house is going to be the place that has the neighborhood piled up outside her door, breathing as deeply as possible and getting fat off the fumes… YEAH!!!! (sorry, little pumped about Christmas baking ;D )
