I have been quilting a lot, and generally making things for the home, but just got some vintage dress patterns to learn some new skills. I’d love to get some good quality wool for a dress I’d like to make!

Currently my favorite things to make are repurposed clothes! Money is really tight and I’ve got lots of old clothes that don’t fit right anymore. So, I use the fabrics to redesign and piece together new items that fit me correctly. It makes it easier to get rid of items that I can’t wear anymore but, still like, since I can see them reincarnated into a new clothing piece. :)

I love making hot packs / wheat bags. Quick and easy to make and they use up lots of small bits of fabric. Just finished another bunch for 8 teenage girls that live in a home for street girls. A feel good sewing project!
