I don’t sell them – partly because I’m not good enough, but mostly because I like to have sewing as a hobby and not an obligation; I like the fact that I can set a project aside for a while and not feel guilty. It would be less fun if I HAD to do it. Also, I barely have time to make things for myself and for friends! But I love to see so many handmade things for sale around the internet and I often buy things from etsy.

    Those books look AMAZING!

I don’t sell any longer but I used to do a couple of craft shows every year. I can do nice work but I am just not good as a sales person. The year I made the most money with my crafts was the year I got very sick the day of the sale. My husband took over for me, and darned if he didn’t sell just about everything I had. But he wouldn’t do it the next year. Blessings, Gerrie

I need to build up my sewing skills before I can consider selling clothes for people. :P But maybe one day! One can dream. =)

At this time I do not sell my garments. I hardly have time to make any at all. But I have a great desire to design some clothing of my own and make them. I don’t know that I would sell the cloting or the design to a patturn company, but I would really like that.

I don’t sell anything I make. I am far to selfish a crafter. Sometimes I give things away to the people that I love. Mostly knitted items though. I did make my sister a dress, but I haven’t seen her wear it.

Not as a business, but I have received money for some of the garments I made for others. In some other cases, some friends and family member I have sewn for, insisted to give me a present, and I accepted.

I have sold children’s things in the past. Now I am working on couture everything, but starting with ‘for me’! I if I can get what’s in my head out, and it’s anywhere as nice as it is in my brain, I will consider sales…. One of a kinds though.

To sell some of my garments, I like Etsy, it is a great community with something for everyone. But I am very selective in what I sell because I put so much of myself into them.

I have an Etsy shop like many a designer and I would love to sell a mini line on www.smashingdarling.com in the near future. I also “sell” things to family and friends :)

I’ve sold some garments in the past, but mostly give mine away now because I design for other breast cancer survivors and am focusing on improving designs for undergarments.

I wish I was able to sell things, but I don’t have time right now to make enough items. I do give many away as gifts. I help my mom sell bags, though, on etsy.

Maybe one day I could but right now I tend to get vert attached to whatever I make. That said their isn’t a better feeling then making something for someone you know and care about.
