Having an iron that doesn’t leak everywhere would help me actually get the new tree skirt sewn!

while i’m in the middle of a few last minute holiday gift projects . . . this iron would be most helpful in preparing my children and i for our round of holiday visits. . . a quality iron would be a step up from my “Just-spray-it-with-a-water-bottle-and-toss-it-in-the-dryer” ironing technique!

I make fabric bowls which need ironed together. This would really help speed up the process and my current iron is on the fritz.

The auto shutoff might come in handy, as I tend to be more scatterbrained during the holidays!
Dec 19, 2011, 08.59 AMby hwoodjusto
this would allow me to quickly iron my clothes after they got thrown about in my suitcase during my holiday travels..got to look sharp at all the holiday gatherings!…plus it would take the place of my iron that just died…never had that happen before, but it no longer turns on:(

Well…first, it would minimize the amount of accidents that could happen with my 3 three children running under foot while I am trying to get the rest of my gifts ready. But truly, I have friends that are paying me to make homemade gifts and all of my gifts are sewn this year so it would help me give gifts that are the most presentable they could be. :)

An iron is an essential sewing tool, and it would be fabulous to have a brand new one for all those last minute projects that need to get done before the end of the year.

I’m fond of saying that 90% of sewing a garment that looks good is pressing. I can make a complex garment with the most expensive fabric, sew all the seams perfectly and do all other techniques wonderfully but if I don’t press each seam as I go, the garment will look terrible. So I would use the Focus iron on everything I sew not just my holiday sewing but year round (although holiday sewing is #1 on my priority list) so that each item is properly finished thanks to pressing with a great iron.

The holidays don’t end with just Christmas! I will definitely need to use my new Focus iron (if I win it) to get ready for New Years, then 4 days later is my birthday, then of course I will need to iron my outfits for Valentines day…everything just starts all over again with the New Year and before you know it we are facing Halloween and Christmas all over again….it’s a vicious cycle…and I enjoy it! ;)

It would help me get all my dress clothes pressed and ready! My current one is dying!

Dec 19, 2011, 05.05 AMby embmimi
Oh my gosh! I use an iron everyday of my life Ironing my clothes and sewing! I have gone through so many irons in the last few years. I don’t understand how anyone can sew without using an iron constantly! Just my pet peeve to see wrinkled projects.

Again, I have multiple projects I am doing and everything needs to be ironed constantly but each on different settings. My current irons steaming mechanism is no longer working properly, so a new Focus Iron is just what I need. I like the different shut off options that is has built into it. To be honest, I love German Ingenuity, I have owned VW’s and I know the value of a great German product. I’m sure this iron is the one to outlast all my others! ….so I am ready to receive you, Focus Iron!
