I sell my skill as dressmaker instead of selling my clothes. So. I guess the answer is no?

I don’t sell them as in make something and then find a market – however i am sometimes asked (by word of mouth) to make specific items and be paid to make them

No, I don’t sell my projects. If it was financially feasible I would. By the time a knitter has finished a project we would have to put such a big price tag on it to cover the cost of the yarn and the hours put into knitting it.

I don’t sell the garments I make, but hopefully, will get to the point where I feel like I could :-)

No I don’t sell, mostly because I don’t have enough time. I guess I’m a selfish seamstress!

No I don’t. My garments are works of art (most of them are costumes for my child). Once the events that she wears them for are over, the costume gets stored away. They are all one of a kind. There are items that I do make though to give away for either birthdays or Christmas presents.

I have just sold my very first item on Dawanda! I was a bit sad to see it go, but the customer loved it. I’m sure it will be well cared for :) It was my lovely green fleece vest :)

I don’t sell garments, but actually contribute to their final design … Hopefully will have more time on my hands to sew them by myself :)

No. I’m way too slow; selling my handiwork would hardly be profitable. But I love to KNIT and would love these books!

I don’t sell my projects. I make clothes for myself, & lately, purses as gifts. In the past I made a dress for a co-worker who liked the one I was wearing. Years ago a friend commissioned me to make his wife to be a wedding dress.

Dec 19, 2010, 11.50 AMby sherblamzoid
I’m not selling anything till I’m confident that my garment etc is actually worth paying for. My skills have to get a bit better before that happens.
Dec 19, 2010, 11.45 AMby Lynne Haflett
I don’t sell garments, per say, but I have made custom garments for people.
Dec 19, 2010, 11.10 AMby happybox
No, I don’t either. Well, maybe there are plans!
Dec 19, 2010, 10.50 AMby kelerabeus
No I don’t, although people ask me to. I rarely sew for others, but I guess that will change eventually :)

No, i don’t sell any garments. I find it hard enough to fit clothes for me and my family, i wouldn’t like to have to please a customer. Their expectations might be very different from my own.
