My favorite is definitely from the movie ‘About Smith’: “I know we’re all pretty small in the big scheme of things, and I suppose the most you can hope for is to make some kind of difference, but what kind of difference have I made? What in the world is better because of me?”

One of my favorite movies is “The Quiet Man” . There are so many good quotes from the movie but one of my favorites is “wipe your muddy boots”. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve used that on the family. Works every time too!

Here’s a good one from Mrs Doubtfire about honesty when Maddie told Mrs Doubtfire she smelled funny: “I admire your honesty, Maddie, that’s an admirable quality. Never lose that, because it often disappears with age or entering politics.”

Another good one from Princess Diaries 2: “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the decision that something else is more important than fear.”

Two quotes from two very different, but very good movies.

This quote from Machete with the brilliant Danny Trajo:

Padre: It’s not safe for you to be here. Machete: I’m not looking for “safe”. Padre: No, I mean it’s not safe for me for you to be here!

This one from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Lots of great dialogue to choose from in this movie:

Rosencrantz: Shouldn’t we be doing something… constructive? Guildenstern: What did you have in mind? A short, blunt human pyramid?

I love musicals and my favourite is Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. My favourite quote is “I’ve always wanted to be a June Bride… and have a baby right off, in the spring maybe.” I actually ended up doing just that – not by design, it just happened, but it’s a cute tie-in with my favourite film :)

It would have to be “No, Mr. Bond, I want you to die!” from Goldfinger – so un expected and so funny when you see Sean Connery’s face as Goldfinger says those words.

“the day we put the idiots in orbit, you’re not finished turning”, it’s a pale translation from a French film “Le Pacha”, with Jean Gabin. In fact, I just love all Michel Audiard’s dialogues

“What is the most resilient parasite? Bacteria? A virus? An intestinal worm? An idea. Resilient… highly contagious. Once an idea has taken hold of the brain it’s almost impossible to eradicate. An idea that is fully formed – fully understood – that sticks; right in there somewhere.” – Inception
