I don’t finish as many as I would like. Maybe 5-10 in a year, depending on work and personal situation… I can sew really intensly for periods, and then have months without sewing.

I try to finish 1 or 2 garments per month, so I make about 20 garments per year, but I sew also bags, costumes, bears, dolls, etc. I learned sewing when I was living in South Carolina, now I’m back in France since a long time. I learned sewing mostly from Threads Magazine… I still have some old magazines in a box, somewhere… mmmmmmm, upstairs, downstairs, now I MUST find them !!!!

This last year has been terrible as not had time – so it’s mostly been presents – about ten small makes (baby booties, scarves, a cowl and a few bags) and one knitted afghan (which took ages). Next year it’ll be back on the clothes!

I guess I’m up to 15 right now, that’s for me. I’ve also sewn 19 vest and 5 costumes – so about 39.

I’m planning some more before the year is over, We’ll see. :)

I do probably 3 or 4 projects each month, maybe more if I’m really feeling creative! So, I guess, maybe around 40 projects a year. I wish I could do more… maybe if I get these DVD’s, it will improve my efficiency!!

I think I’ve probably finished 5+ projects this year. I’m lagging behind on sewing projects, but way ahead on knitting ones, so I guess it evens out. Not sure what my average number of projects per year would come out to be if I sat down and thought about it.

Only a few, but because I’m learning, I take more time to try and make things better and learn how to fix things rather than create a bunch of stuff.

Well I aim to finish all that I start, which is quite a few :) An estimate: as few as 5 and as many as 40. Hm, that’s a large range…but it’s true!

I only sew about 2 items a month, sometimes its a dress, pants, or a small accessory. I know I need to increase my sewing to at least 1 item a week to make me better. But it is something I truly love, taking a few yards of fabric and turning it into a wonderful rtw garment.

This year was about realising my fashion design dream and was able to before that finish about 6 projects a year. With my design and construction skills, I was able to finish twice that amount. I also design and manufacture costume jewellery, which run parallel to the clothing work. 2011 sees these 2 skills being combined as ready-to-wear for the public. Number of projects will be at least 100 by June.

About 5 in the past couple of years. I really want to increase it this year—I have a stack of patterns I want to try and gobs of fabric in my stash. Now all I need is time.

I lose track of what all I’ve made because family and friends ask for specific items (purses were big this year) and once they’re gone I forget about them. Since I retired two years ago I’ve spent a good part of every day in my sewing/craft room making something. Being somewhat compulsive, I always have hand work (knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, etc.) by my chair in the TV room. There are so many commercials anymore, I can get a lot done and still keep up with the stories!
