So hard to choose, but it has to be my trusty old sewing machine.

My needles.

My overall favourite sewing tool is my serger. It just makes sewing knits, which I really like working with, so easy.

My cutting mat! It’s saved me a lot of time, esp when paired with the rotary cutters!

I think my favorite sewing tool of late is heat and bond. My kids have been requesting a lot of specific designs on their handmade clothes (clouds with lightening, rainbows, pirate ships, etc.). The heat and bond makes it so much easier to get it all on and ready to topstitch. kristie_keely(at)yahoo(d0t)com

My seam ripper for sure which is actually a disposible scalpel. Couldn’t live without it!

I LOVE my wrap-around thread puller by Dritz! The shaft of this tool is covered with rubber, so threads cling to it very nicely. Simply wrap your gathering threads around it and then turn it as you pull……what you get are super evenly pulled gathers! Awesome for ruffles, too!

I just get one? Right now I have to say my cutting table custom made to my short body but a whole piece of plywood so I can open up the fabric to get it cut fast.

My favorite sewing tool would have to be my sewing machine. My most useful ones (beside the sewing machine) would have to be an iron and a seam ripper.

Pinking shears for sure! Useful and fun- who doesn’t love clipping curves into zigzags!

My sharp scisors.

My favorite sewing tool is my rotary cutter. I do not think that I would sew as much if I had to use scissors to cut everything… it would be too frustrating and slow!
Dec 11, 2011, 03.47 AMby runningwithscissors1
My sewing machine, but the seam ripper is a close second.

Okay, for the Oliso iron contest it was your favourite NEW tool, and I chose beeswax. I think my favourite tool overall is…Burda Style! Each time my mom or aunts send me needles or marking tools or measuring tools or cutting tools or turning tools I go to Burda Style first to check out how to use them. I get instructions, tips, and usually patterns that employ the tool well. I also turn to Burda first to learn new techniques!

My rotary cutter – it speeds everything up and saves my poor hands from agony!
Dec 11, 2011, 03.22 AMby gorillaslippers
Seam ripper. Without it, undoing my mistakes is so very very painful.
Dec 11, 2011, 03.20 AMby Carmel Mussap
Well, I guess I would have to say my Iron.. boy if I iron everything first.. then it sews much better and less chance of needing the dreaded seam ripper.

My seam ripper, like so many other people! Gail D.
