My serger- because I have a need for speed (while I’m creating cool stuff).

Has to be a rotary cutter. As the years have taken a toll on my hands, this is the best.

My favorite is between my sewing machine and my rotary cutter.

My sewing machine and the magic it can create. I am crazy about all the varied threads available.

Definitely my rotary cutter, rulers and cutting mat. Love them!!

I would have to say my rotary cutter. I cant even imagine cutting out all of my quilt pieces without one!

My seam ripper. It is one tool that has gotten much use, which isn’t necessarily a good think because that means I make alot of mistakes. :-) I have been “sewing” for many years now, never really made clothes except for in a class I took while in college. But I plan to take another sewing class and hopefully my seam ripper and I won’t be so close. :-)

My imagination and some cracking fabric.
Dec 11, 2011, 03.43 PMby vwbug74
It’s a tie between my mini clover iron and my bamboo press. The iron is great for getting into all the little crevices but the bamboo press is nice for doing a quick press when I’m in a hurry.

I love my fashion riler, because I can’t draw curves by hand, so it’s a big help for me. I also love my double tracing wheel, that helps me by adding the SA to the patterns. A new fabric cutting scissor would make me very happy, now I have a cheap one, wich isn’t sharp enough.

My singer 9960 sewing machine is the best sewing tool I ever purchased. It sews so smoothly and makes me want to indulge in sewing more than ever.

My favorite sewing tool would be my pointer, some called it a stiletto or an awl. Its great to work in gathers or just to be super accurate.

My little thread nippers and my treadle sewing machine!
Dec 11, 2011, 01.58 PMby notoes
I love my Singer model 5050, it’s 11 years old been used and abused and still runs like a dream. Never had it serviced and just keep it clean myself and it will sew every thing I give it. My second runner up is a six inch long pair of tweezers that were my Mom’s, I use them more than you’d believe.

My White sewing machine, a gift to my sister from her Grand-MIL, on permanent loan to me because sis doesn’t sew!

Like many others, I couldn’t manage without my seam ripper. A close second is my metric quilting ruler, whcih I use for pattern making and marking out seam allowances.
Dec 11, 2011, 01.39 PMby infinite-plus-one
as a beginner my favorite sewing tool is definitely my seam ripper! I don’t how I would sew if it wasn’t for this little precious thing!

My favorite sewing tools are my roll cutter and big quilting ruler.
Dec 11, 2011, 12.48 PMby lienepien
Thread, scissors and a needle. I think these are the main tools you need for sewing. Otherwise it will be difficult to complete a nice project.

I use a lot of pins, so I think they are my most useful tool.
