Really it’s the tacky yet cool mens button up shirts from the 60’s/70’s They have some crazy fabrics – now that I think of it I really need to add to my collection by buying vintage if I can’t find some fabrics to make my own soon here!

For me there is nothing better than vintage 60’s evening gowns. Classy, sexy, elegant.

I love the style lines and the femininity of the 1950’s. Being of a smaller…aka shorter frame, tailored clothes always look so much better. However I do love the 1940’s for it glamorous thriftiness.

Oh how I love the minis that Besty Johnson brought us in the 60s and the glam of the 40s. Both earas make a graet mash up of fashion!

The 40s! It was so original and feminine. Too bad it’s not so recognized these days as the 20s or 50s…

The t.v. show Mad Men has inspired me to indulge in new projects from fashion from the 60’s.

I’m giggling…60s and 70s vintage? Does that mean I’m vintage too….I love the 50s, probably my favorite was my mom’s basic housedress, which had a set in thingy around the waist cut on the bias to add stretch to the waistline and bendable for garden work. But actually, my fav style would be the sweetheart neckline with the full skirt that just twirled around so easily.

I’m giggling..just giggling…my favorite vintage style would be the sweetheart neckline and full skirts with the head scark (AKA Lucy Ricardo)…I’m giggling, because I’m having a hard time dealing with 60s and 70s being vintage…No way…ladies…not vintage!

For myself, I am a huge fan of late 50’s, early 60’s A-Line dresses because they are classy and super flattering to my figure. On other people, the 20’s -40’s never disappoint – I’ve never seen a vintage photograph from that period of a woman who did not look 100% put together.

oh I pretty much love them all! Remembering a burdastyle tribute to vintage clothing though, I’d probably say 40’s. Elegant, kind of “strict” lines, yet so feminine! :)

The simple yet flattering lines of Regency, along with the natural sensibility of that period (no makeup, very little jewelry), then 1960s and 1970s styles. Especially A-line dresses with bell sleeves – such a chic look with a clean cut.

I love 70s maxi dresses and kaftans. They are so flowy and most of the prints are beautiful. Very flattering shapes as well.
