Can anyone find the true pattern for that technical drawing of the empire waist mini dress?

The pattern picture for the empire waist mini dress is wrong, but anyway, if anybody has the pattern, could you guys tell me why the middle of the back part needs to be cut out and sewn back on? Or am I reading the pattern wrong?

No, that’s the correct technical drawing for the Empire Waist Mini Dress. The photo of the dress in the middle of that picture is just an inspirational image, of a dress by Halston.
The pattern is like a cape, but with sleeves, waist tie and a front placket.

Hey the technical picture is for a different variation of the dress, the dress has sleeves and the tech picture is the cape style, is that what you meant tasha? You can find the right tech drawing in the patterns sect.

Has anyone tried to make the boho trousers up here, from Burda style 04/2011. I’d love to make them but I’m a bit intimidated by the many parts of the pattern…or in other words: how difficult are those extra-parts at the inside of the leg? I could manage the rest :))) Thanks!

I was wondering about those— the back view of the technical drawing indicates that the insert “flaps outwards”. I am not sure how this look would fair. Check out this post did on Trousers for some similar renditions. Then there’s the Harem Trouser if you dare…

Love the maxi, the caftans and the mini tank dress. That middle full length caftan is exactly what I need for my summer mischief. That and a large can of Special Brew. A multicoloured ASBO! (That stands for ‘Anti Social Behaviour Order’ by the way. It is a special award that the police give naughty people here in the UK. It means that you are the best at being bad).
