Last night the Grammy’s red carpet brought an, er, interesting mix of fashion choices. I’ll be honest it was not my favorite red carpet. It’s the Grammy’s though and it’s a chance for most celebrities and artists to take “risks” that they wouldn’t usually at an even like the Golden Globes and Oscar. Most of those risks included what I’m going to say needed lots of fashion tape if you get my drift. Alas, here are some of the best looks from music’s biggest night.
Carrie Underwood and Faith Hill’s dresses were strikingly similar! This is a nice style because it both sexy and classy, keeping things balanced with the long sleeves, long hem and slice of cleaveage.
No one rocks a red carpet quite like Jennifer Lopez. She always brings it! I also have to give it to Celine Dion who is nearly 50 years old and looks amazing in this seriously plunging gown.
As we’ve already seen in the above looks, long sleeves were worn quite a bit last night! Adele looks absolutely radiant in this color of green. How cool is the fabric detail that went into making this dress as interesting as it is?
Very different dresses yet very metallic! The pleating in Solange’s dress is pretty spectacular and I think looks gorgeous on her and I think that Heidi’s mini metallic t-shirt dress is pretty perfect for the Grammy’s!
These ladies didn’t quite fit into any specific trend category but I didn’t want to not feature them because I thought they look so beautiful. I think Maren Morrises purple lace dress was my favorite of the whole night and i absolutely loved what she performed in!
We saw 3D floral elements at the Golden Globes and it continued last night with these two beautiful and feminine dresses on Kelsea Ballerini and Elle King!
I can’t quite pinpoint the fabric that was used to make Rhianna’s giant skirt! It almost looks like velvet. I also love Lea Michele’s outfit, it’s sexy, different and just stunning.
What did you think of the fashion last night? I can’t wait to see what the Oscar’s bring! I have a feeling it’s going to be GOOD.
