Frothy white lace and a slim boy’s suit look dapper at first communion, garden parties, or spring weddings. These patterns are from the February 2014 issue of Burda Style magazine.

The Bow and Pleat Dress is adorably preppy. Wear this frock to a garden party or any time your girl needs to dress to impress.

This darling Lace Dress with Peter Pan Collar is so sweet. Buttons up the back have an old fashioned romantic look for girlie girls on their way to church or a birthday party.

Slim, low-riding boy’s slacks are on trend and make it less of a fight to get your little boy to dress nicely. He may even ask to wear these fashionable trousers!

There’s no reason to skimp on style for young men. This Suit Jacket has buttoned cuffs, trimmed pockets, and a skinny single lapel that isn’t too stuffy.

Instead of a sweater, cover up a breezy lace dress with this elegant Open Blouse. It’s a grown up look with an elasticized ruffle hem.

You can wear this Long Cap Sleeved Dress to a dressy occasion like a wedding, or pair it with casual sandals for a bohemian look. She’ll love the sophisticated maxi length.

These designs have grown up style for kids and tweens that like to look sophisticated. They’re great for that age where you want to have style but aren’t quite ready for the juniors department.

Happy sewing!

Love all of these. Especially nice to have something dressy for young men. Wish they were around when my 3 sons were little…now for grandchildren. Fun!

These are fabulous! I’m so happy to see collars and sleeves on the little girl dresses – something you don’t find in RTW!

All these patterns are pretty much perfect! I don’t think I would need to change anything. I just wish I had kids…

But I’m still going to buy the magazine :) You never know lol
