It doesn’t get any easier than this poncho! The edges of the lace are left unhemed while the deep v-neck is simply cut and finished with a trim. This leaves you with still enough time to sew the corresponding dress. You can also wear the poncho on its own, as a top, if you lengthen it by about 20 cm.

This look has a touch of hippie feeling due to its loose fit and longer drape in front. The waistcoat is sewn with a cotton lace and closes at the front bustline with a tying band. Pair with a maxi dress, flare jeans or cutoff shorts!

Layers of sewn-on fringe trim elevates this simple short jacket in a cutting-edge fashion piece. Shaped bands follow the front edges for a confident look. Pair with western jewelry and your favorite denim shorts.

The elaborately embroidered denim with a scalloped border gives the lined classic pencil skirt an exceptional punch. It can be styled a number of ways.

A must for summer! The straps of this romper are cleverly entwined in the back with back pieces, allowing the extra drape in the bodice to cascade casually over the drawstring casing at the waist.

Batiste is used here as a lining and then also put together to serve as a playful accent ruffle at the neckline. The cut of the dress makes it possible to easily adjust the lower hem length into a midi-length option. For those looking to add extra flair, sew a necklace chain or attach decorative stones along the middle of the ruffle.

The precise cutting of the lace at the neckline of this lace blouse draws the eye. The shape of the flowers is nicely exposed and the hem accentuates the curved edge of the lace.

113-052016-B

An inverted box pleat at the middle front adds shape to the slip dress with its a-line cut. The extra swing is held on top with spaghetti straps that loop in back through a narrow casing. Unlined and in a black lace would make a perfect beach dress or you can sew it into a shorter length for an ideal summer top.

The curved shape of the hip yoke gathers the sweet culottes in a printed denim softly toward the figure on top.

103-052016-B

Inlaid pleats at the shoulders in front and back let the top of the covered placket blouse be narrow at the shoulders, then flow beautifully toward the lower hem. The slit at the sleeve hems pull together by tying a knot.

A cool contrast is made when you sew these sporty shorts in an eyelet lace fabric. The waistband pleats, fabric belt and decorative patch pockets get an elegant touch with this fabric choice.

These patterns are perfect for outdoor festivals and casual summertime wear. I would make almost all of these. Reminds me of things I wore in the 70s and would still wear today. Having a hard time deciding which I will sew 1st
