This petite sized Long Shawl Coat has an attached shawl collar and front fur hook closure. This luxurious coat looks fabulous when worn over short shorts and killer heels!

This is an easy to sew and draft-yourself Fur Shrug! It is beautiful made in this faux mink and fully lined in satin.

This wonderful Fur Blouson Jacket with standing collar and front and back fur panels makes a great everyday jacket! It is made in faux fur and brushed wool that looks great with the metal separating zipper.

This Long Fur Waistcoat is truly irresistible. It is closed with snap fasteners, is lined with sweatshirt fabric and has practical pockets in the section seams.

Fur on brushed wool? A surprising effect that elongates the silhouette. This Long Fur Patch Jacket features a round neckline, front zipper, and tie belt. The fur patches are eye-catching on the jacket fronts. Looks great paired with a feminine blouse and casual jeans.

This hip-length Jacket has a large collar in lamb shearling and it is cool! The unfinished edges of this jacket give it that sporty-casual look, and it looks great paired with a plaid shirt and denim.

Fall in love with this Leather Tunic of lamb nappa leather, lined with sweatshirt fabric. It features a cozy turtleneck collar and sleeves in faux mink. It is so generously cut that you can wear it over another jacket!

Who says that fur should be reserved for coats and jackets? This Fur Carryall is a beautiful accessory that will make you the envy of your friends. The sides and straps are made of leather. What a great way to use up your scrap fabrics!

Get cozy and chic this autumn in this new fur pattern collection.

Happy Sewing!

I have a question, why are furs always loose fit, while leather can be very slim fit? I don’t think its about moving easier in them. Fake furs are really soft usually.

I’d like to make the leather tunic and fur caryall, these are just wonderful! Do you have some sources for leather? I live about 20 miles north of NYC.

Great idea using the quilted fabric – will have to look into what is available at my local fabric stops. On that note, I cannot seem to find any great looking faux fur in the shops around me and I even checked the Mood fabric website and didn’t see much I liked. I once saw a fur collar on a coat in a fashion mag that I loved—it was the most beautiful deep plummy color. I’ve searched all over but I don’t think I will ever find anything similar in faux fur for a home sewer. :(

There may be international sites that have nice faux fur but the shipping costs would negate the cost effectiveness of home sewing. I live in the Pacific NW region of the United States. Anyone have a suggestion for a great faux fur source? (I already checked the chain and the independent fabric shops in Seattle.)

      Hi There,

I know of two fabric stores in the Seattle area – Stitches and Esther’s. However, I don’t know if they carry faux fur. Here’s a link to one of my favorite stores in NY that carries faux fur:

      Good luck!
