It says to enter your email to get update, but it does not say expressly for the new up coming US edition, is there a link or place to do that?

Hi, I’m in the UK – and I already receive a subscription to the UK edition.

This brand-new US version (with the extra content + the better fleshed-out sewing instructions) honestly sounds more appealing to me than the edition that I can currently buy.

Do you know if there are any plans to roll-out the content from the US edition to the UK edition (either for sewing-instructions alone, or for the instructions plus additional US-only content) please?

      Regards, Claire :)

Ok…Are the styles going to be exciting, fresh and trendy like the original Burda. Is the subscription going to be directly from this site and what is the cost?

Exciting, fresh, and trendy like the original Burda? YOU BET!!! The US edition is derived directly from the original German edition, so we’ll have the same fantastic patterns and the same gorgeous photo shoots that Burda fans love.

Yes, you’ll be able to subscribe directly from BurdaStyle.com, and we’ll be sure to blast it everywhere once our subscription system is open. So stay tuned!

The cost will likely be $14.99 per issue, and it will include 30+ patterns, instructions, and pattern inserts. Plus all the great things mentioned above.

i have a couple questions. If you are already in the US and already have a subscription to burda style magazine, would we receive the us version when it comes out or will we continue to get the same issue and the US version will be a separate subscription? How different will the US version be to the version i currently receive? Would it be worth it to subscribe to both or will the patterns be the same?

Whatever the result I have only received 2 copies from my year subscription i just bought and there is seriously not enough time in the day/week/month to accomplish all this sewing. I love all the patterns so much!! I should have gotten the magazine sooner!!

I totally hear you about there not being enough time in the day/week/month! Our patterns are so awesome, really, life should consist of nothing but sewing! No sleeping, no work, nothing. Just Burda sewing! I hear ya!

If you are in the US or Canada and already have a subscription to BurdaStyle magazine, you are currently receiving the UK edition. That is a translated version of the original German magazine. The new US version will feature patterns and photo spreads and DIYs from the original German magazine, but it will also feature some new content, plus everything will be written by us, rather than just translated. We’re also fleshing out the instructions to make them easier to work with and more simplified and more in line with what we’re used to seeing here in the US (and in Canada).

We’re unfortunately unable to transfer subscriptions, which means current BurdaStyle magazine subscribers who live in Canada or the US will continue receiving the UK edition until their subscriptions run out. This new US version of BurdaStyle magazine will run as a completely separate subscription once our subscription system is open. To start, the US version will only be available on newsstands, so we’ll be sure to keep you posted once we know exactly where and exactly when. (But mark October in your calendar!)

Many of the patterns will be the same. So I would recommend (once the US mag is available) hitting the newsstand to check out the individual issue. You could find it a great supplement to what you already have!

I’m glad my subscription stays the same and comes from the UK. I want the original Burda patterns and not the US version of instructions, I do not like the added 1cm to the seam allowances and not care of the DIY projects, that already seem to have made their way into the UK version as well… I love BurdaStyle, the website and all, but the original burda classic patterns are what I love it for.
