We are bringing you the latest show stopping patterns from burda style magazine’s December 2012 issue. In this collection the motto is more is more! More delicate shades of gold. More black to create a striking contrast. More leather, more duchess, more edginess for those holiday parties. These designs are for women who live on the edge and want to be stylish, trendy, and classic all at the same time.

Here is the lovely Lurex Blazer. While the idea for the fitted jacket is copied from him, everything else about it absolute femininity. Just take for example the black and gold matte-shine lurex. It is double-breasted with wide lapels of duchess satin and slimming section seams.

Dolce & Gabbana shows us how to elegantly wear gold sequins. We love this sequin maxi skirt from their boudoir presentation.

This Deep V Top, made of black fine knit fabric with an elegant metallic effect, has what it takes to become a new favorite in your wardrobe. It upgrades shirts and trousers in seconds. Note the fashionable details such as the deep V-neckline, the stylish wrap effect, and the peplum. Try wearing it with a glimmering skirt like this Sequin Skirt. The cut is as straight forward as possible; slightly flared, with the darts only laid in tucks, and a sewn-on waistband of petersham ribbon.

We styled these pieces with these beige wedge sneakers from Blink. Also try wearing a cool bracelet like this one for an edgy look!

Every woman needs a Little Black Dress. Anyone who has this dress hanging in her wardrobe need never wonder she’s going to wear to a party. The black dress of 2012 is sleeveless and features an angled empire seam, a gathered center seam along the bust, and a nicely flared skirt.

Sparkle up this dress with a gold embellished clutch like this one and for some extra sparkle jazz up your wrists with a nice leather and gold bracelet.

Brocade, the fabric that fashion dreams are not made of. Why? It shines magically and makes an elegant statement, particularly when cut so exquisitely. Here it is used for a hip-length Jacket, its edges bordered with petersham ribbon. It is brought in around the waist with a lovely tie belt. Try wearing it with a lace Ruffled Skirt. Ballerina meets rock chick! This double-layered, two-length skirt in tulle lace is a real eye catcher. It features gold metallic effects and a scalloped hemline. The taffeta petticoat provides a stylish opaque underlay. This skirt looks very smart with a black turtleneck and gold statement neck piece.

We adore this Dolce & Gabbana look, and how they used black and gold together.

The magic is in the details of this Dress with its elegant gold metallic fabric. The subtle draping at the waist impresses, while the short sleeves and knee-length, flared skirt emphasizes the sleek silhouette. This dress particularly suits taller women and is available in tall sizes.

What better to pair with this elegant dress than a killer pair of Jeffery Campbell Heels.

How does a simple Tank become the highlight of the evening? it makes a glamorous appearance in sparkling gold sequins and chiffon. All edges are bordered with satin bias tape. Rock this top with a pair of these ankle-length, extra-narrow cut stretch nappa leather Trousers. They are even embellished with edgy horizontal zip pockets!

This holiday season, try wearing some sequins to your parties! We love these couture styles shown by Valentino.

With this Dress it’s hard to know where to look first! the V-neck down to the waist? The narrow 3/4 sleeves? The subtle wrap-effect? The small sequins? Or the large imitation leather ones with matte sheen? Maybe it’s the short skirt, either way everything about this skirt is just right!

This dress just screams for a pair of black pumps and a bright red lip. So classic and beautiful.
Happy Sewing!

just stunning, and ….. I LOVE your new presentation, after (glam) shots, combining the tech drawing with a picture of the garment without background. Nice improvement, excellent for my students. THANKS

I hate gold but would def love almost all these pieces in black and silver. Very nice collection! Even if there’s no way my boobs would fit in them.

Lovely patterns in this magazine. I bought the magazine yesterday for only 4.5usd and took out the metalic dress pattern last night. Can’t wait to see the dress finished

Wow, I love all the sparkle of this collection, very glam :)

You guys really need to reconsider the price of your online patterns. It’s ridiculous how expensive they are, especially since you can buy the whole magazine for the same amount of money!! Not to mention the trouble you need to get into to download, print and assemble the pattern. I would buy a lot from your site if only the pricing was a little more sensible.

I really love the addition of designer examples. I wrestled with this collection, but after seeing the insane Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino pieces, I may be ready to embace the shiny.
And I love the sequined mini.

The technical drawing for the Sequined Tank doesn’t match the finished garment shown. Which tank ends up being made from the pattern?
Thanks!

Very nice! Many nice pieces. I particularly like the drape dress, the jacket , the LBD and the Deep V top. Different fabrics will take them to the office or a casual evening. Lots of options. I SO wish you had a pattern for that sheer ruffle top you’ve paired with the maxi skirt – that is very pretty.

I just bought a gold metallic fabric last week, to make a holiday dress. I wanted one with a side drape, with sleeves. Great timing, Burda! I am going to give the dress above a go……
