Use your scrap fabric to create something we all need, a little catch all for your jewelry. Make them in various sizes to compliment each other and another great use for these little leather bowls is for your keys at the front door. Read on to see how to make your own leather jewelry dish…

Materials

Materials:
- Template (download here for free)
- Cutting mat
- Piece of golden leather
- Cotton print fabric
- Fusible web
- Hammer
- Hole punch
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Golden tubular rivets

Step 1

Step 1- Trace around pattern piece, onto wrong side of leather. Tip: Later, do not press leather too hot; use a pressing cloth.

Step 2

Step 2- Cut out leather piece. Iron fusible web onto wrong side of cotton fabric. Peel off backing paper. Iron to wrong side of leather.

Step 3

Step 3- Cut fabric exactly along edges of leather. Check if the pieces adhere well together. If not, press again.

Step 4

Step 4- With the help of the pattern piece, mark hole positions on leather side, in all three corners.

Step 5

Step 5- Fold each corner in half, fabric side facing in. Hold tightly and punch hole as marked.

Step 6

Step 6- In each corner, insert one half of tubular rivet through holes then insert 2nd half. Hammer together.
