It’s finally felt like fall here which means that I can stop thinking about ‘hot weather clothing’ and start shifting my focus onto sewing up cozy jackets, long-sleeved shirts, and fabulous accessories. Oddly enough while surfing blogs over the weekend, I stumbled across this entry on “How to Make Fall Accessories” – not only were there some good tips on making your finished designs look professional, but there were fantastic (and new-to-me) resources as well. So, my question now is – what’s your first fall weather sewing project going to be?

I definitely want to make a new bag. I have plans to make a new knitted shawl (I wear them like scarves) and a new hat since my hair is so different from last year. I’m thinking of sewing the hat instead of knitting it.

I already crocheted myself a new scarf out of a couple of skeins of yarn that were getting too low to do much else. It turned out pretty beautiful!
