The Golden Globes 2018: Best & Worst Dressed

This year, the red carpet at the Golden Globes was a bit different for a very important reason. Women and men came together wearing black to support a movement known as Time’s Up, which takes aim at sexual harassment and power imbalances within the workplace. Many stars including Emma Watson, Amy Poehler and Meryl Streep chose to bring activists as their plus ones. With that said, we couldn’t help but take note of which black style moments were major fashion wins and a few that were a miss in our books.

What were your thoughts on the red carpet?

Summer Trend 2017: Embroidery

It’s all in the details this summer! The biggest trend that is coming in 2017 is definitely embroidery. We can see the delicate stitching everywhere right now – on street style blogs, in the stores of Zara, H&M and Co. and on DIY blogs. More and more brands start carrying huge collections of embroidered pieces – also because machine embroidery has been developed further during the last couple of years. And while huge brands mostly show flowery patterns, the Pinterest world goes crazy over cacti, insects and eyes which are embroidered on basically any fashion piece out there.

We don’t need hundreds of pieces to be stylish at the office throughout the year! Just a few reliable essentials help creating a nice outfit and being out of the door fast in the morning. Even better when those pieces are not too standard but have a little twist here and there, like ruffles, split seams or an over-sized fit. Sew yourself one of each five essentials and mix and match them easily!

After picking suitable shirts, pants and dresses, we added some cool accessories for every outfit. Here we go…
