Start some drama in this collection of futuristic dresses and jackets. These designs are from the October 2010 issue of Burda Style magazine. All instructions for previously published patterns have been updated.

The Leather Top is a super easy make that gets drama from real or imitation leather. The neckline has subtle gathers and a keyhole.

_126

The Open Collar Lambskin Jacket is made of real or faux lamb fur is double-breasted with hidden snaps. The edges are left unfinished for easy sewing and a cool, raw look.

_130

Pick your favorite kind of rivet or stud for an extravagant edging. This swingy Embellished Jacket gets even more movement from the weight of embellishment. Or, leave off the embellishment for a simple fall jacket.

_128

Couture, edgy style is in full effect in the Puff Sleeve Dress. Gabardine gets a futuristic treatment with a wide high collar, puffed sleeves, and lambskin insets for an extreme silhouette.

_129

A little drama never hurts a fall wardrobe. This straight cut Lambskin Vest gets wide lapels and a taffeta ribbon closure at the front. Make the soft collar in faux fur or lambskin.

This small collection packs a big pucnh. Big, dramatic shapes and materials like faux leather and studs are a worth a try for witchy fall glamour.

Happy sewing!

Love the Puff Sleeve Dress. Buying it and will have to upsize to plus size. Please Burdastyle, just make the patterns in all sizes. This is such a pain to have to upsize,( and to downsize for those who like plus size styles).

These are awesome, though the plaid, Autumny collection from the same issue was my favorite. I don’t generally wear modern designs, but I appreciate them & love to see them on other people.

I like the jacket, but I’d put a zip on that princess seam to resemble a motorcycle jacket

It looks very much like something inspired by a science fiction movie. ‘Matrix’ or ‘Tron’, maybe? This collection also reminds me of design lines of the late 1960’s futuristic styles. I love the dress under the open collar lambskin jacket – is it a Burda Style pattern?
