The gamine style (Audrey in Roman Holiday, Jean Seberg in Breathless)… the boyish twist on feminine fashion is always a breath of fresh air!

My favorite decade is definitely the 50’s. It was feminine and the curves were allowed to show. I believe it’s the Mad men that has got me over excited about the 50’s :)

Sharon Schnaar …For me the 70’s and 80’s had me sewing up a storm..I made a new outfit at least once a week and I was tiny so I could use a lil piece of cloth and make something fab on my singer treadle, well until I got the electric singer, but by then I had little ones and had to fit them into outfit schedule :D (now I need a much bigger piece of fabric to make me something )

I think my favorite decade is the one we’re in right now! I love the fact that almost everything is allowed – fashion/color-wise. I love being able to wear bellbottoms one day and a 60’s mini dress the next. From a sewing perspective, the thing I love the most about the present decade, is computerized sewing machines and sergers. I’m personally not really into vintage-sewing, so I do love the present with all it’s gadgets and shortcuts! :-) Best regards, Anna Aasbjerg Rasmussen, Denmark

I love the styles of the 50s, the circle skirts and the fact that women could look sexy without exposing themselves, but I think my favorite decade of style is the 60s. I’m a girl who loves pattern and bright colors, and this is what the 60s brought. I also love the mod style that popped up during this era.

I’m a sucker for the full skirted styles of the 50’s and early 60’s, but I also love the flattering lines of the late 30’s and early 40s…

I love bright colors, so I think I’m more of a 60s girl. But I also like the flowy clothes of the 70s. Just drop me somewhere in between!

I loved the 1950’s, There was style and structure to clothes. Women weren’t expected to dress as teenagers. Patterns were made for Matrons! I know we don’t like to label people, but as an over the speed limit person I can’t find much ready wear to wear. In Burda I can find a classic look and make a choice of my style that suits me.

Mi década favorita es la de los ’50! Aunque los ’70 me gustan, me divertía mucho cuando era niña mirando las fotos de mi mami.
