Haha… the question of the day. What to do with the stash of left over PJ flannel! Doll clothes. Patchwork items. Giving them to children so that they can be creative and learn how fabric and clothes work.

Honestly I haven’t found a lot of things to do with my scraps, which is sad. I save them all and have a huge box of them cause I just can’t say goodbye! This would be a great book to finally get some wonderful new things out of my favorite used fabrics!

Gift bags and shopping bags. I scrappy bag to put my groceries in would be fun. But, maybe a summer shoulder pouch just big enough for a phone, a few dollars and driver’s license would be even better.

I’d make sculptural freeform pincushion creatures out of different fabric textures. Then I’d embellish them by hand to make them really unique!

Such an adorable book! I make toys for kids out of fabric scraps — my friends keep having wonderful babies! I also patch my handsewn garments.

I like to make patchwork dresses and skirts for my daughters, or add a nice pocket made from a favorite scrap.

I like to make small pouches for electronics like cell phones and kindles, eyeglass cases for my friends, coin purses and makeup bags. Sometimes scraps make their way into quilts.

I make bookmarks. I fuse two fabrics together, then cut it into shapes like flowers or leaves. If I have enough, I will make hats.

I like to make pencil/pen pouches with the leftover fabric from my bags . They’re super easy, use a very small amount of fabric and all I need to buy for it is a zipper. They’re also great for makeup brushes when traveling! Another thing I just made are small stuffed birds. I’ve been putting them in my Christmas tree!

I love using fabric scraps to make pincushions, little pouches where I can put things like coins and so on. Also to add a little quilting detail to my pencil cases and other sewing projects.
