I find that I make slip covers the most. When I am fitting, I think of my chairs like models that never say, ‘Ouch, was that a pin?’ or ‘Does this make me look fat?’

I’ve sewn whole nursery sets, curtains, drapes, bedspreads, pillowshams, pillowcases & cushion covers.I often make decorator kitchen towel sets for the holidays or oven mitts. Sew News had the best directions for making waterbed sheets. I even added non-skid material to some bathroom rugs once! But, My favorite home accent to sew is curtains and table covers — runners, placemates, and tablecloths.

I like to sew pillow cases especially with very colorful fabric for pillows that I take on travel so I won’t forget them on the hotel bed!

I love sewing, it is so relaxing and when you are done there is nothing that is so rewarding as to see that you actually did it. The more I can do the better and since I haven’t updated the look to the house in about 15 yrs, it’s time for a change!!
