That rose one would be a fantastic retro style dress with a full skirt and cute bodice. The grey would be a fantastic mod style tunic, the white I don’t know, and the sort of black and white printed one, god, I don’t know, aprons, bags, a fabulous top….

With the white voile I would make a cami & french knicker set with matching sleep mask, with the metro living a boat neck 1960’s style top, with the night and day a pussy-bow blouse and with new traditions a big fat square tote for carrying all of my library books.

The Night & Day thing is just begging to be made into a 1940s-style dress for my girlfriend. The white Organic Voile fabric would be perfect for doing a partial facing/lining for it—and adding contrast collars and cuffs (not just for the dress, since I have a couple of old hand-me-down shirts that could do with replacement collars). New Traditions…um, steampunk waistcoat(s)? Metro Living is tough, since the pattern is a bit more modern than the kind of stuff I normally use, but by the same token I’m tempted to use it for something that smells of James Bond. Maybe a 60s or early 70s-style dress or sleeveless blouse. Or flared trousers?

I’m a long time on-again, off-again sewer. Fabrics and projects have to peak my interest to keep me motivated. These Kaufman fabrics are a force to be reckoned with providing the excitement and enthusiasm I need to keep me “in the mood”.

I love these fabrics! Night & Day – this is my favourite, it could be a spring suit, a jacket with a skirt or shift dress Organic Voile – I love white tops and blouses, never enough of them, of the voile I’d make a blouse, and maybe a nightie New Traditions – accessories for our new white kitchen, wrap skirt Metro Living – skirt and maybe a simple A-line spring jacket

I see so many beautiful things when I look at the fabrics. The Night and Day would make a lovely dress, the organic voile a shirt. The last two look like they are made for skirts. And then I’d still have some remaining for other projects, my imagination would have to work hard.

Oh, this fabric is so amazing! These prints call for some retro dresses, there’s no doubt about it! I can imagine one in 70’s fashion out of Metro Living, an one in 50’s style out of Night and Day, mmm…

I would be torn between wanting to wrap myself in something so lovely, so maybe a dress – and being able to see it every day, so maybe curtains. Or both!

Skirts and dresses for spring!

I would make changing bag for my baby that is due with the New Traditions fabric, a shirt for my husband with the Metro living fabric, a tunic top from the gorgeous Night & Day fabric and finally a fairy dress for my three year old from the organic voile fabric – although I may have to dye it pink first as everything as to be pink!
Jan 19, 2011, 11.49 AMby Natasha Venzke
I would use the New Traditions print for a jacket, Night and Day for a dress, metro living for a skirt and the Organic Voile for a floaty summer top.

A dress and a clutch bag from night and day – I love to wear bold patterns! Cushions from new traditions, a lined skirt from the voile (with a coloured lining) and a table runner and place mats from metro living. Then a whole load of other things from all the left over pieces! Pot holders/oven mits, purse, bag etc etc… I’m getting excited just thinking about it!

First, with the Metro Living, I’ll make a whole family of bears ! With the Night & Day and New traditions, I’ll make bags and assorted purses, lined with the Organic Voile !

I would make a few dresses, probably combined with some jersey – for comfort.
Jan 19, 2011, 09.13 AMby candyjoyce
The two fabrics that I would most like are New Traditions or Metro Living, Lots of ideas but I think they would both make rocking blazers. Night and Day would have to be a full skirt and as I’ve never used Voile before I would have to poke it and prod it to see what it does and then use it appropriately.

The rosy one if of course a dress, as well as the white. I think the last one would make a good blouse or skirt. And the third one is a beutiful bag.

Corsets out of Night & Day and New Traditions. Not sure yet about the other two, but I’m sure I could put them to good use!
