Since I discovered the joys of using a ruffler foot attachment I would say pleating. I love the tiny knife pleat effect that a ruffler foot gives and it looks fantastic. Gathering is a close second, it depends on the project. Never done twisting though.

gathering & pleating, especially now since I just bought a pleating & gathering foot for my machine. I’ve never heard if the twisting before but it certainly sounds interesting & intriguing!
