I love my sliding ruler. It saves so much time when I have to measure a little or a lot and is always correct.

Seam ripper!

My most treasure notion in my sewing basket is my sewing scale, a little 6" ruler with a sliding guide. I hate hemming and marking so with the scale I can skip the marking sometimes.

The only sewing tool I have that feels close to treasure is my mother’s fancy scissors.
Nov 14, 2011, 02.14 AMby mccuskerk
My left handed Gingher scissors, because my mom got them for me, and I use them in every sewing project.
Nov 14, 2011, 12.31 AMby Esther Hopland
My most treasured tool is my dress form because I can chnage it to fit different sizes and I can sew for somebody and try it on without them being there.

Well, my favorite tool when I’m sewing is the seam ripper so when I make a mistake I don’t have to worry that It would stay like that, and the rotary cutter because it make it so easy for cutting a fabric.

Definitely my water soluble marker! I use it for machine sewing and embroidery both.

My most treasured tool are my Gingher scissors. They were a birthday gift from my husband and I treasure them. They cut like a dream and are kept safely guarded in my sewing/craft drawers. My family knows these are completely off limits for any cutting other than fabric. Just love them.

rotary cutter. Absolutely, without a doubt, one of the best inventions ever!
Nov 13, 2011, 05.45 PMby ijada13
My most useful tool is my rotary cutter as it makes cutting fabric so much quicker, especially when the blade is nice and sharp!

I am dying to have one of these dressforms! My most treasured tool is my seam ripper. Second in line are probably metal pyramid studs. (They count as a notion, right?)

Nov 13, 2011, 02.31 AMby annawilliamson
My seam ripper! It lives in my mouth (sounds weird in writing but we know we all do this!!) while I’m sewing for easy access, along with some pins. I don’t know what I’d do without it.
Nov 13, 2011, 01.35 AMby Lea Bishop
pin cushion! Prevents me from ending up with a mouthful of pins or dangerous needles floating in the carpet!
Nov 12, 2011, 08.26 PMby pimsy
In my den of couture, the most valuable tool is definitely my collection of my scissors and pins, and also my seam ripper, or my pen erasable, or else my tape measure. In fact, EVERYTHING is precious to me in sewing because each tool is important and is valuable in its own way.

It’s hard to pick just one! But I’d be lost without my seam ripper.

My favourite sewing tool is a double tracing wheel to mark easily the seam allowance, where it’s not included.

my needle and my scisors, because they allow me to make magic and create new beautiful original clothes! :D
Nov 12, 2011, 04.21 PMby mlssfshn
My stiletto, it can get closer to the needle than my fingers when I’m sewing and need to grip things really close.
Nov 12, 2011, 03.38 PMby leyee1
Given that I am a handsewer, my needles are my most used and loved.
Nov 12, 2011, 03.08 PMby annsunny
My Bernina is my most treasured tool.
Nov 12, 2011, 12.48 PMby qml347
being somewhat of a novice my seam ripper is my most treasured in my sewing basket.Sometimes i get in the zone and try to sew faster and make mistakes or sew a crooked line and have to take it apart. Or I sew the wrong pattern piece. one time i sewed the front skirt upside down seam ripper needed. Most of I having been wanting a dress form this would be great
