Comment on the blog or connect with us on Twitter to win one of two Lisette sewing patterns by Liesl + Co.
Liesl + Co. is perhaps best known for Oliver + S, their gorgeous collection of children’s sewing patterns and fabrics. Their Lisette patterns, however, appeal to a decidedly older audience: the style-conscious seamstress. For more information, visit their website.
Until Tuesday, June 7th at 12 p.m. EST we are giving away two of their gorgeous patterns. The first pattern is a Passport Dress & Jacket, a downtown spin on uptown chic. The second pattern is a Portfolio Dress, Tunic & Pant, a chic, multi-seasonal favorite. Two winners will be selected to receive one pattern each.
To enter, answer the following question: Where would be the places to wear the garments created from the patterns featured?
If submitting an answer via Twitter, be sure to include the @BurdaStyle tag and the hashtag #comment2win.
Good Luck!

I agree on wearing it to all different occasions – dress it up or down for work or university, transit it into fall with tights and a knit sweater, wear a santa hat and celebrate christmas in the passport dress ;-) The green fabric used for the tunic is wonderful!

Those garments would be perfect for summer vacations.

I would have to say everywhere. It would be so easy to dress these patterns up or down, Both styles would be great for work or for dinner out afterwards. I can envisage all the beautiful clothing pieces I could sew with these patterns.

I guess the portfolio dress would be perfect for a summer day at a cafe out in the city or a summer picnic down by the river.

I’d wear the Portfolio dress while I wander around at the Saturday morning farmer’s market. I’d wear the Passport dress while traveling— perfect for a sticky summer day or paired with a little cardigan for cooler evenings!

The Passport dress I would be inclined to do up in some lush fabric for a nice night of dinner and dancing. The Portfolio dress is perfect for strolling around my lovely Vancouver in the summer.

The passport dress is adorable, I’d wear it out to pick flowers in endless meadows or for a walk through a forest, the dappled sunlight illuminating a picnic in small clearing. On the other hand, the portfolio dress looks like the perfect outfit for discovering a small rural village in central France and getting lost in the winding cobbled streets. I’d wear the tunic and trousers on a day to a museum, dusty corners full of hidden treasures.

I think the passport jacket & dress looks like something I would wear to church and then brunch. I adore the portfolio dress tunic and pant pattern! I would love to make those trousers in a black cotton twill and the tunic in a semi shear handkercheif linen and wear them to Chelsea any first thursday for an art opening.

I’d love to wear the Portfolio tunic paired with leggins while on holiday, wandering through lovely cities like Rome or Paris or Barcelona. The Passport dress is my ideal dress for a picnic in the park, lying in the sun and eating strawberries…

If these items were made with cotton, they look like they could be worn for any occasion. The dress and jacket would be a great outfit to wear for an art opening.

I would wear them on summer outings like the one I am going on this weekend to Michigan to see 2 Lighthouses. I love the fabrics featured in these patterns. I have bought on of the fabrics at Joann Fabrics last week.

It’s of course an everyday piece, who I could use on the university, a trip to the town. And then maybe, I would travel in it to Nice.

The passport Dress is aptly named, it conjures up dreamy days of European beaches; Cannes Marbella,,Tarifa or even Brighton Beach. Eating gorgeous sorbet in an Italian Plazas, LA palm trees, a big straw hat, Lamu Island East Africa sailing on a dhow, ; definitely a passport dress.
The portfolio dress offers such versatilty it would be great to wear daily, to the shops, to pick up my children, BUT mostly a daily walking advert,in its many varaitions you can really play with fabrics keeping the gentile lines; advertising a portfolio of your skills daily. A portfolio of possibility.

I’d wear them at home, I’d wear them at work, I’d wear them on a date the boyfriend, and I’d wear them all the time!

I think the portfolio dress is wearable to work if the right fabrics are used to make it! :)
