my favorite bag is a big, HUGE red leather purse that i’ve been using about three years now. the only problem is that since it’s so big, i stuff EVERYTHING into it and it ends up weighing a ton. sigh.

My favorite bag is a small leather messenger bag I found at the flea market! It is simple yet original, has a warm color, and is very roomy although it’s small! The perfect handbag!

My favorite bag is a little wristlet I made myself, but I really want a Jo Totes bag or a Baggu bag!

My favorite bag is a black leather backpack purse. I’ve used it every day for about 5 years now, so it’s definitely showing its age, and getting raggedy, but I haven’t been able to find a comparable purse I like, so I guess I’ll use it until it falls apart!

A nice, medium size with plenty of pockets to hold things but not too big to carry.

I keep meaning to make a bag and never get to it… sigh. I did just buy a beautiful purse with a multi coloured leather, painted, canvas flower on the front and round wooden handles (and an optional shoulder strap which is essential when I have to hold kids hands or groceries). I always ensure there is a secure zipper section for my wallet and other important things I don’t want randomly falling out. Also an open slot or two for quick access stuff is great too.

Wild fabric and convenient compartments.

Blue corduroy with a wooden handle. I made it years ago using scraps from some old pants. The handles came from my Granny’s old old knitting bag, which makes it feel kind of precious!

My favorite bag is my mother’s leather fold over satchel! It’s small and weathered, but perfect for almost anything and absolutely adorable!

My favorite bag is my Julie Bag with lots of side pockets and a very cute girlish look.

My favorite bag is my bee, flower and ladybug zipper pouch.

My favourite bag is now my husband’s Charley bag, black outside, the inner is a bird patterned black and white and orange fabric. I’m making an other one for myself.

I’m ashamed to say that my favorite bag (for the summer) just ripped. It’s an orange (yeah!) paper bag from le Bon Marche (pricey yarns in Paris) and it’s just the perfect size to throw in a still-hot pie from the oven, or still-cold salad bowl, and screech off to the potluck picnic. If I was more organized, I have no doubt I’d have less use for an item that can accomodate last-minute cooking. Ahem. This wonder also has nice padded handles, with a good size so that I can carry it by hand even in the metro or way by the river without spilling the contents and without stressing anything on myself.
So this thing is so old it’s positively embarrassing, and last time I used it I made a good rip in it. No problem, I have very stylish Ikea fabric all ready to cut for the replacement, and you can bet I’m opening it for the perfect instant pattern. Also, I usually toss an old towel on the bottom so as not to burn myself or anything with hot quiche or cherry lava. I can incorporate the same towel as an official interlining, it’ll be much more esthetically pleasing.
This is only a seasonal thing though, normally I like bags with pockets, lots of pockets :-).

my favourite bag is a big bag with a big bow on it.

My favourite bag is my suitcase – when I see it, it means I’m going travelling!

My favorite bag is my big, printed re-useable shopping tote. My purse is pretty much a wallet on a string (that can also hold my tiny phone). When I need something bigger, I just grab my tote and throw my wallet in.
A tote pattern would be awesome for me!

It’s a purse that looks like an army bag, but with more pockets. Unfortunatly, it is sort of falling apart from being used so much.

Mine is a vintage Etienne Aigner satchel I scored on Ebay three years ago. It’s congnac in color, has a long strap which is great as I like to wear my purses cross body, and a metal handle on top. It fits more than one would expect and really is the perfect bag in my book.

My favorite purse (at the moment) is one with my family picture on it – a gift from my daughter who is a photographer. It’s sturdy, large, has a strap inside to attach my keys for safety, & zippered pockets. It also causes lots of conversation at the check out counters!

I have two favorite go-to bags, one for day one for night. The night one is a simple black satin clutch with no “frills.” My current favorite go-to day bag is a run of the mill l.l. bean tote bag—it carries the following: my pool stuff, my reading stuff, my laptop for writing, an extra pair of shoes (just in case) wallet, and make-up bag (for touch-ups. I’d be lost without it.

My favorite bag is always changing, but it has to be big enough to carry a needlework or knitting project, have a separate zipped pocket for my wallet, have pockets for my glasses case, notebook, cell phone, pens, crafting supplies. Right now, my favorite is a bag I knitted and felted, with a lining I sewed specific to my needs.

My favorite bag is falling apart now :( It was the first bag I’ve ever sewn and It was amazing. I used a fabulous amy butler fabric that was perfect for last summer, Bright oranges and a floral pattern. I used it as a diaper bag, a purse, and a shopping bag! I will miss her.

My favorite bag is a canvas leopard tote that I made a few years ago. I originally made it as a grocery bag but have used it on and off as my regular bag, a craft tote, grocery tote, and bringer of food stuffs to pot lucks.

My favourite bag was made …BY MEEEE!!! It is reversible, based on verypurpleperson’s pattern and tutorial, denim on one side, stripey fabric on the other, it is very roomy, and just the thought of having made it myself makes me happy :) here it is http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/stuck-in-reverse-bag.

At the moment – a white small bag that can contain everything I need – my wallet, phone and a bottle of water :)

I have plenty bags…but never enough. Mostly I carry my purple leather bag from Bear Design, just because the colour is fab and it has over 6 different pockets…..really convinient but it makes it impossible to carry slightly larger things in it.

I love my cherry tote bag called “Camille’s Bag” by Penny Sturges. It is 14″×14″ with lots of room to spare.

The messanger bag I made myself. It is black and white polka dot canvas fabric with a black and white picture of Audrey Hepburn on. I used an iron on transfer to print the picture onto and then sewed the fabric picture onto the bag with red embroidery cotton.
