My favorite is still the tunic top I made in the early 90’s out of a flannel nightgown and a slip (anybody else remember those?). It’ feels just as warm and cozy as your favorite jammies, with the whisper softness of the satiny tricot on the cuffs and neckline. I’ve worn it for 20 years and it’s getting a little shabby, so now that tunics are back “in” I might brighten it up a little with some fabric paint and a drawstring…

my favorite piece i’ve made so far is the skirt i had to add extra panels to ‘cause i originally made it too small. it’s really different, and i can wear it to work or out with a simple top. i’m hoping this fall to add a coat to my repertoire, but we’ll see ;)

My favorite fashion garment I made is a kimono top for my daughter (when she was two years old)… I was on a sewing-hiatus at the time, and I don’t have any ability to sew with machine yet. I saw a very cute kimono top on someone’s blog (I’m really sorry, I forgot whose blog it was..) which was made for her girls. She didn’t give any patterns or tutorials but I think a kimono is simple enough to make. So I was off to the shop buying a 1m fabric, and luckily I find a perfect print! I have an accessories/jewelry line named stroberiHITAM which means black strawberry; and the print was strawberries with black background. Then I made the kimono without pattern, measuring my bub with a dress she already own…Handsewing, I finished the kimono in two days, with a red ribbon lining. It turned out beautiful! My daughter loves it so much n til today when she knows I am sewing something (from now on its mostly bags/mobile bags), she always want to be the first to try the finished item! :)

My favourite item I’ve sewn is a cream wrap blouse with flounces. I badly wanted to make it after seeing the picture in a magazine and was extremely happy with what I ended up making.

My fave has been the formal suit I made using couture principles.

An easy circle skirt, which I think originally was a table cloth. It’s great. :)

My favorite garment I’ve made is my batik dress{seen in my studio}. Actually I made it for a designer competition in a magazine in Myanmar.

My favorite garment I’ve made is a button-down skirt. It’s blue with black buttons… really simple, but it’s the first time I altered a pattern to make it into what I wanted, so I was—and still am—really excited about that.

My favorite garment is the red satin dress I made for my sister’s prom. When she told me she wanted me to make the dress, I was a bit intimidated b/c I’d never made anything that important. I definitely surprised myself, had lots of fun, and felt real professional while making it what with all the fittings I did to make sure it fit her perfectly.

My fav is a peter pan dress I made for a friend’s daughters. I love vintage patterns and I love making things for other people. And this book looks so awesome!

My favorite is my blue stripe adrianna frock. It isn’t the most difficult thing I’ve made or anything like that, but it always makes me feel pretty and feminine when I put it on.

My favorite garment by far is my blue meanie party dress (pics coming to my studio sooooooon!) that I made for my friends wedding (destination wedding ….. Nova Scotia coast!!!!). It’s a Donna Karan Vogue dress pattern and I made it with some really great materials AND I made a FBA that worked like a charm. The cherry on top if it all is the inseam pockets. I am so thrilled with it.

Definitely my Rainbow Brite corset!

My favorite so far is a 3/4 sleeve T-shirt that used to be a large men’s long sleeve T (I am a small woman). I love it, it’s so comfortable and just the right length!

Because I am absolutely nuts about Halloween, my favorite garment that I have made is my witches costume. It is so intricate with so many facets it is a shame it can only be worn once a year.

My white singlet top – so simple and I guess a little plain, but it’s the comfiest thing I own!

My favourite garment that I’ve made myself is still the first pair of jeans I sewed. I had an old pair of jeans that fit perfeclty but that were ready for the rubbish bin. I was really proud of myself for ripping them down to their component pieces (there were SO MANY!), cutting them out in new fabric ad then figuring out how they should be assembled again. That was about two years ago and the re-made pair are still going!

My favorite garment I made was a Chritmas dress for my granddaughter. The fabric is a green plaid taffeta & white glimmer organza. The bodice is smocked & I used the organza for the sleeves & wide trim on the bottom of the skirt. I really enjoyed doing the smocking & it is the defining feature of the dress! That little curly red-head looked so cute in it!

A tank A-dress I made for myself to wear to work on a rinky dinky sewing machine about some 10+ years ago (couldn’t afford a brand new dress). This is what started my sewing interest. Little did I know that the fabric on clearance, beginners sewing machine gave me tons of compliments…I went and made more clothes!

My favourite thing i have made was my wedding dress that i finnished 1am the morning of the wedding! I was also 7 months pregnant at the time which made things a bit more challenging . This is the dress here http://fav.me/d2m2ttc

Does an accessory count? I’m going with an accessory, so I hope that’s o.k. I made a bird’s nest hair piece that I just love. It was made for New Year’s and seemed like that would be it’s only outing. I’ve worn it several times since the holiday, and love it every time.

My favorite is my Jungle Print Dress. It’s made from a crazy-print fabric, but I always get a ton of compliments on it. And I did a great job with the fit!

That’s a tough one, because I’m quite fond of a number of things I’ve made, but I found some cute fish fabric in a remnant bin a few years ago, and managed to actually make a skirt out of the remnant. Then I edged it with this fabulous purple-blue-gold rickrack I found. It’s perfect for someone getting her PhD in Marine Sciences! It was also one of the first few patterns I drafted myself.

I have yet to make my favorite garment—I’m pretty new to sewing clothes and would love to check out the projects in this book.

My favorite so far is the one dress I successfully designed without a pattern (more or less)— I sketched it out, made the foundation, and draped the pleated tie-dyed chiffon on my dummy to get the look I wanted. Either that, or the men’s shirt I chopped up and turned into a blatant Anthropologie knock-off. (Also pattern-less and draped on the dummy. Do you think I’m trying to tell myself something?)
Both of those projects are in my Studio, btw.

Love their stuff! I attended Bloomingdale’s event they hosted last year and had lots of fun.

My favourite garment is my navy skirt, I was afraid it was a bit school girl, but it turned out very classic, perfect for Autumn. It also works with the nautical trend, which I love.

The most favorite garment I made was a ball gown with a beaded bodice that I made for my daughter. I combined three different patterns and changed it up a bit to make it an ooak just for her senior ball.

My favorite garment I’ve made so far is my pink wrap skirt (seen in My Studio), but it may soon be replaced by my 3/4 length-sleeved jacket that I just finished and will wear this fall. I may wear that jacket every day! I can’t wait for it to get cooler. :)
